(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Pan, a volunteer who helps Chinese people quit Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations at a tourist spot in Lucerne, Switzerland, was busy with a list of names, when a middle-aged Chinese man approached her and said, “I have been observing Falun Gong practitioners for a long time, not just for a couple of days.”
Ms. Pan asked, “What have you observed about practitioners?” The man replied, “I had thought you were paid by foreign governments or financial groups. But I found out you are actually volunteers, and you do it very sincerely. I no longer believe you are paid.”
Ms. Pan smiled and asked, “Why don't you?” He replied, “There is a rumor in China that you are paid by the United States to badmouth China. I have been abroad a few times, and observed Falun Gong practitioners. I don't think that's true. I no longer believe the rumor.”
Ms. Pan explained, “You are right. We volunteer to tell people the facts about Falun Gong, and help them quit the communist organizations if they want to. There is no compensation for us. I'm in my seventies. My children have good jobs. Being retired, my husband and I don't have any financial worries.
I could have stayed at home and enjoyed an easy life. I have chosen to come here every day for the past ten years, even in bad weather, just to help Chinese tourists learn the facts and quit the communist organizations.
The man nodded his head. Ms. Pan added, “We Falun Gong practitioners follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to cultivate ourselves. Even though we need money to print these materials, we pay out of our own pockets. The morality in China is going downhill. People don't believe that Falun Gong practitioners would do such hard work for free. They'd rather believe the Communist Party's lies about Falun Gong.”
The man nodded in agreement. Ms. Pan asked, “Do you know why we are so persistent? It's because the CCP has blocked information about Falun Gong, and has told lies about it. The most typical one is the so-called 'self-immolation on Tiananmen Square.' The CCP's propaganda media, CCTV, played the video every half hour at that time. If it was true, why did a self-immolation happen only one time? Falun Gong has been spread to more than 100 countries around the world. Why has a self-immolation never happened in any other country for so many years?”
The man said, “I know. I know it clearly.” Ms. Pan said, “The lies were to incite hatred toward Falun Gong. Those who believe these lies and hate Falun Gong have been put in a dangerous situation. That's why we clarify the facts to people so that they won't be deceived by the CCP. It's a way to ensure they have a bright future.”
The man said, “Now I understand completely. Falun Gong is truly great!” He chose to quit the Communist Party, and thanked Ms. Pan.
