Additional Persecution News from China – October 10, 2015 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court have met with obstacles.

1. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Fu Shousong's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Fu Shousong, 48, from Yanshan County has not returned home since July 20, 1999, when he went to Jining City, Shandong Province, on a business trip. His whereabouts are still unknown.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zou Wenzhi Sentenced

Mr. Zou Wenzhi, arrested in November 2014, was later sentenced to a four-year prison term. He is detained in the No. 10 Division.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yin Anling's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yin Anling, 61, was recently arrested. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Yizhen Detained

Ms. Luo Yizhen was arrested by officers from the Jianghaijie Police Station in the Haizhu District on October 2, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is detained at Haizhu District Detention Center.

5. [Pi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Xiaolan Detained

Ms. Li Xiaolan was arrested by officers from Hongyuan County Domestic Security Division, Shuajingsi Town Police Station, and the local government on August 31, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and 3,000 yuan. She was held in a detention center for 15 days.

6. [Pingquan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Bai Guanglin Detained

Mr. Bai Guanglin was arrested by officers from the Chengde City Domestic Security Division and Pingquan County Domestic Security Division on September 22, 2015, for suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. The police ransacked his home. He is now in the Pingquan County Detention Center.

7. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Detained

Several practitioners were arrested by officers from Mishan City Domestic Security Division on September 23, 2015. Some of them, including Mr. Jiang Honglu, Ms. Zhang Chengyu, Mr. Zhang You, and Ms. Ji Hongbo, have been held in the Mishan Detention Center for more than 20 days. Others were released after 15 days.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Yao Xuqi Detained

Ms. Yao Xuqi was arrested at home by officers from the Haidian District Domestic Security Division on October 5, 2015. The police ransacked her home. She is detained in the Haidian District Detention Center.

9. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Qiaoshe and Another Practitioner Detained

Ms. Song Qiaoshe, in her 50s, and another practitioner were arrested by Chuwang Town Police Station officers on September 16, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were each fined 1,000 yuan. Ms. Song is still in the Anyang City Detention Center. The other practitioner was released after being detained for 15 days.

10. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zhang Yinzhong, Ms. Wang Linjuan, and Ms. Liu Honglan were arrested by Lanshan Police Department officers on October 5, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked their homes. They are all in the Linyi City Detention Center.

11. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Jinfeng Arrested

Ms. Zhao Jinfeng was arrested by Peng Yue and other officers from Fushun City Domestic Security Division on October 9, 2015. The police ransacked her home.

12. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Luo Xiaoling Arrested

Ms. Luo Xiaoling, in her 60s, was arrested by Qifuxincun Police Station officers on October 8, 2015, for posting informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from that police station and Zhongcun Town Police Station and Domestic Security Division ransacked her home the next morning and confiscated Falun Gong books and approximately 7,000 yuan in paper bills with messages about Falun Gong printed on them.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Guangxia Detained

Ms. Chen Guangxia was arrested by officers from Gaomi City on April 4, 2014. She was later sentenced to a four-year prison term. She is still in the Weifang Detention Center and not allowed family visits.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wei Zhenqun and Ms. Shan Qinshu Detained

Mr. Wei Zhenqun was arrested by officers from Yaoqian Town Police Station on October 7, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Shan Qinshu, Mr. Wei's wife, was arrested at home by five officers from Yaoqian Town Police Station that evening. They confiscated informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, two laptop computers, printers, recorders, and other personal items.

Mr. Wei is in the Shenyang City Detention Center and Ms. Shan is in the Sujiatun District Detention Center.

15. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Detained for Suing Jiang Zemin

Mr. Fu Gui, Mr. Li Runtian, and Mr. Long Bingfeng were arrested on their way to work on the morning of September 22, 2015. Led by staff from the city's 610 Office, local police ransacked their home and took them to a brainwashing center first. The couple was later transferred to the Yueyang City Detention Center.

Mr. Zhu Musong and Mr. Sun Pinghua were also arrested on their way to work that day. Mr. Zhu was released the next afternoon, September 23, because he developed tuberculosis and other diseases when he was held in a forced labor camp for his belief in Falun Gong. Mr. Sun was held in a brainwashing center for a few days and then transferred to the Yueyang County Detention Center.

Mr. Tang Rongwen and Ms. Peng Guixiang were arrested in Guoluo City on the afternoon of October 8. They are being held in the Guoluo City Detention Center.

16. [Chongqing] Ms. Qin Li Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison

Ms. Qin Li was arrested last November and later sentenced to three and a half years for being a Falun Gong practitioner. She appealed the sentence and reiterated her constitutional right to practice Falun Gong. A judge in charge of her case at the First Intermediate Court in Chongqing admitted, "We don't disagree with what you say, but we can't make the decision to acquit you." Ms. Qin remains incarcerated.

17. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Cai Shijun Transferred to Suzhou Prison

Mr. Cai Shijun was arrested on July 8, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. He was sentenced to three years in prison in May 2015. He was recently transferred to Suzhou Prison. His parents are over 80 and very sick. They now have no one to take care of them.

18. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pan Shuyue Transferred to Shijiazhuang Women's Prison

Ms. Pan Shuyue was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison. The second trial was not open to the public. She was transferred to the No. 14 Division of Shijiazhuang Women's Prison from the Qinhuangdao No. 1 Detention Center on January 4, 2015. Her family was not allowed to visit her because she refused to give up her belief.
