Additional Persecution News from China – October 3, 2015 (22 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 27 were illegally arrested. Several practitioners seeking to mail letters of complaint regarding Jiang Zemin to the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme Court were met with obstacles.

1. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Guixiang Died Resulting from Persecution

Ms. Li Guixiang, 51, died as a result of persecution at 3:30 a.m. on September 30, 2015. She was arrested by officers from Guanghan City Police Station on October 6, 2013, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong, and sentenced to a three and a half year forced labor term by a court in June 2014. She was then taken to Qingjiang Town Prison, where she was subjected to continued persecution.

2. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Several Practitioners and One Non-Practitioner Arrested

Ms. Tian Dianli and Ms. Li Chou were arrested at home by officers from the Fanggang Town Police Station on September 25, 2015. Both were detained at Yuzhou City Detention Center for ten days.

Several practitioners and one non-practitioner from Yuzhou City were also arrested, including Ms. Wang Xuexia, Ms. Ji Chou and her non-practitioner son Mr. Wang Xiaopei, Mr. Yin Quanting, Ms. Wu Huizhen, Mr. Yang Meng, and Ms. Qu Yuemei.

3. [Huantai County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Fujian in Critical Physical Condition

Mr. Ma Fujian was arrested on September 15, 2015, and is being detained at Shandong Prison. His family was informed on September 30, 2015, that he had been taken to a hospital for treatment due to his critical physical condition.

4. [Anqing City, Anhui Province] Ms. Han Cuizhen and Mr. Shen Zongshan Arrested

Ms. Han Cuizhen and Mr. Shen Zongshan were arrested by officers from Daguan Police Department on October 1, 2015. Ms. Han was released that evening due to high blood pressure. Mr. Shen is still being detained at Anqing City Detention Center.

5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Xiaoming Detained

Mr. Li Xiaoming was arrested at home by officers from the Jinniushan Police Station and the Tangchi Town Police Station on September 29, 2015. He is being detained in Dashiqiao City.

6. [Chongqing] Mr. Wu Shangming Detained

Mr. Wu Shangming was arrested at home by officers from the Shuangfengqiao Police Station and the director, Li, from the local Residential Office, on September 25, 2015. Mr. Wu is being detained at Yubei Detention Center.

7. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Including Ms. Yu Bing Detained

Two practitioners including Ms. Yu Bing were arrested on September 28, 2015. They are being detained in Changchun City.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Yueming Detained

Ms. Han Yueming was arrested on September 29, 2015. The police ransacked his home. He is still detained at Weizigou Detention Center in Changchun City.

9. [Zixing City, Hunan Province] Mr. He Linguo Detained

Mr. He Linguo was arrested around September 20, 2015, for broadcasting Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. He is being detained at the Detention House of Zixing City Police Department.

10. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Lian Detained

Mr. Chen Lian was deceived into going to Chengbei Police Station on September 30, 2015, where he was arrested by officers from the Guanghan Domestic Security Division. He was subsequently detained at Hexing Detention Center for ten days.

11. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Aixiang Arrested

Ms. Liu Aixiang was arrested and taken to the Security Division of Longkou Mining Group on October 1, 2015, for removing words which slandered Falun Gong. She was later released after her family was extorted of 2,000 yuan by Qiao Shanxi, captain of the Security Division.

12. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qian Yuanfen Detained

Ms. Qian Yuanfen was arrested on September 15, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being detained in Yangluo.

13. [Wuji County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Genshuan Detained

Mr. Zhao Genshuan was arrested at home on October 1, 2015. He was sentenced to a ten-day detention term, but was released at 5:00 p.m. that day due to high blood pressure.

14. [Huanren County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Niu Yan Sentenced

Ms. Niu Yan was arrested at Tiananmen Square on July 18, 2014, and has been detained for 14 months. She was recently sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term.

15. [Jieshou City, Anhui Province] Ms. Li Shuling Detained

Ms. Li Shuling, 59, was arrested by officers from the Jieshou City 610 Office and Dongcheng Police Station on September 15, 2015. The police confiscated two computers, three printers, two cell phones, and fifty Falun Gong books. She was detained at Fuyang City Detention House for fifteen days, then transferred to Fuyang Detention Center.

16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Su Detained

Ms. Su was arrested at home by officers from the Xincun Police Station in Nanguan District on September, 30, 2015. She is being detained at the Weizigou Detention Center.

17. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Runling and Ms. Zhai Naihui Arrested

Ms. Zhang Runling and Ms. Zhai Naihui were arrested by officers from the Taihe Police Station in Zichuan District.

18. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Lanmei was arrested by local officers on September 10, 2015, for suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin. She was detained at Taiyuan Detention Center for 15 days.

Ms. Zhang Jiulan was recently arrested by officers from Huifeng Police Station. Ms. Zhang Yueqin was arrested on September 17, 2015. Both were detained at Taiyuan Detention Center.

19. [Anguo City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xinglu and Ms. Shi Yongqing Died Resulting from Persecution

Ms. Wang Xinglu and her daughter Ms. Shi Yongqing died as a result of persecution in 2013 and January 9, 2004, respectively.

Ms. Wang, in her seventies, from Anguo City, Hebei Province, was arrested and held from 1999 to 2000 in Beijing, for appealing for Falun Gong. She was subjected to severe persecution while in detention, and later subjected to forced labor several times. She was not released until she was on the verge of death in 2005. After being released, local officers harassed her many times, which worsened her physical and mental condition. She died in 2013.

20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] More than 114 people Harassed for Suing Jiang Zemin

More than 180,000 Falun Gong practitioners filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin since May 2015, for launching the persecution of Falun Gong and causing them great harm and tremendous suffering.

Police officers and personnel from neighborhood committees in Shijiazhuang harassed and arrested practitioners who had sued Jiang Zemin, and ransacked their homes. According to incomplete statistics, more than 114 people had been harassed as of late September 2015.

21. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Suzhou Intermediate's Court Held Sentence Against Ms. Sun Meihua

The Wuzhou District Court tried 45 year-old Ms. Sun Meihua on June 3, 2015. The court recently sentenced her to a three-year prison term, without informing her lawyer or family. When Ms. Sun's mother went to the court on September 6 she learned that her daughter had been sentenced. Only a few days were left before the appeal deadline.

Ms. Sun's mother asked the lawyer to appeal to the Suzhou Intermediate Court. Her lawyer and family members went to the court three times before they were allowed to meet the judge in charge. The judge told them to wait for notification. They received a notification one month later that the sentence had been upheld.

Ms. Sun has been held at the Huangdai No. 4 Detention Center for more than one year.

22. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Lilin Arrested When Visiting Detained Husband

Ms. Cui Lili, from Dachujia Village, Xiaqiu Town, Laizhou City, went to visit her husband Chu Zhenxin on September 17, 2015, who was being held at the Laizhou Detention Center. She was arrested by officers from the Laizhou 610 Office and detained in the Dianzi Brainwashing Center for eight days. Ms. Cui was then transferred to Laizhou Detention Center.
