(Minghui.org) Yu Haibin, head of a police station in northeast China, has struggled over the past several months to find evidence that he can use against two Falun Gong practitioners. The authorities recently put together what they deem evidence, and the Procuratorate will soon submit the case to the court.
Yu is head of the Haizhou Township Police Station in Kangping County, Shenyang, Liaoning Province. He was in charge of arresting three practitioners on August 30, 2014. He was also responsible for ransacking their homes and confiscating their computers and Falun Gong books.
Of the three arrested, Mr. Feng Xili (冯喜利) was released the next day, but his wife, Ms. Gao Genying (高根英), and the other practitioner, Ms. Jia Shukun (贾淑坤), are still in the Shenyang Detention Center.
Building a Case Without Evidence
Yu and the Kangping Domestic Security Team worked hard to build a case against the two ladies.
Yu interrogated them several times. He twice submitted a case based on the interrogation records to the Kangping County Court, but each time it was returned for lack of evidence.
Yu then arrested practitioner Mr. Wang Haizhou (王海洲), and interrogated him on November 7, 2014. He ordered Mr. Wang to provide information about the two ladies, but Mr. Wang said he did not know them, just their husbands through work. Yu took notes and let Mr. Wang go home.
The families of Ms. Gao and Ms. Jia asked that the ladies be released. However, Yu claimed that Mr. Wang provided information against them.
Yu also tried to get information from practitioner Ms. Gao Baoxia (高宝霞), who lives in the same village as Ms. Gao. Ms. Gao Baoxia has since gone into hiding.
It now appears that Yu has created sufficient evidence to make a case against the two women. The Kangping Procuratorate will submit it to the Kangping Court.
