Additional Persecution News from China – January 11, 2015 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yuan Shaohua Sentenced

Mr. Yuan Shaohua was sent to the Shandong Province Prison on December 22, 2014. His family members weren't notified. When his wife and son visited him at the prison on January 6, 2015, they saw that Mr. Yuan appeared very weak.

The prison initially rejected him because of his extremely high blood pressure. However, the police sent him to the hospital at the Zhangqiu Detention Center for four days of medical treatment and then the Shandong Province Prison Hospital on December 26, 2014.

Mr. Yuan was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Qingdao City Shibei District Court. He had been detained at the Jimo City Detention Center prior to the sentence.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Qin Li Arrested

Ms. Qin Li was arrested at the Fengdu Railway Station on November 13, 2014. When scanning her identification number it was found that she was a Falun Gong practitioner. She was taken to the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center and transferred to the Jiangbei District Detention Center on December 27, 2014.

Her arrest was approved on January 9, 2015.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ma Guiyun Detained

Ms. Ma Guiyun was recently arrested by officers from the Youzheng Police Station and the Hanangang Police Department for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention.

4. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Gaizhen Detained

Ms. Zhao Gaizhen was arrested by officers from the Guan County Police Department in April 2014. She is detained at the Liaocheng City Detention Center.

5. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Lisha and Ms. Liu Hong Arrested

Ms. Tian Lisha and Ms. Liu Hong were arrested and taken to a detention center on the evening of January 9, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Chuanye Detained

Mr. Zhou Chuanye, sentenced to a three-year prison term, was transferred from a detention center to the Liaonan Xinrujian Prison on December 17, 2014.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cong Shuxun Detained

Mr. Cong Shuxun, sentenced to a four-year prison term, was taken to the Liaonan Xinrujian Prison on November 4, 2014.

8. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Gao Fang and Ms. Xue Rujun Detained

Ms. Gao Fang and Ms. Xue Rujun were sentenced to a four-year prison term and are detained at the Henan Women's Prison in Xinxiang. They were arrested on September 4, 2013 and held at the Jiaozuo City Detention Center for approximately a year.

9. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiurong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiurong, 57, was arrested at home on January 9, 2015.

10. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zuying Transferred to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Zuying was recently transferred from a detention center to the Linyi Brainwashing Center.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Sufang Detained

Ms. Wang Sufang was arrested on October 16, 2014. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong and 2,000 yuan. She is held at a detention center.

12. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ding Zuhua Arrested

Ms. Ding Zuhua, 72, was arrested by officers from the Wuji Town Police Station on April 3, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released on bail pending the trial. She was recently arrested and taken to a detention center.

Ms. Li Gengmei was arrested by officers from the Yuantan Railway Police Station on January 7, 2015.

14. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Erni Sentenced

Ms. Liu Erni, sentenced to a three-year prison term, was taken to the Jinan Women's Prison on January 5, 2015.

15. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Fengying and Ms. Yao Hualan Arrested

Ms. Sun Fengying and Ms. Yao Hualan were arrested by Liu Tao, captain of the Guan County Domestic Security Division, and officers from the Panzhuang Town Police Station on January 6, 2015. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated printers and computers.

16. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xiaoguang Detained

Mr. Zhang Xiaoguang was sentenced to a three-year prison term on December 25, 2014. He is detained at the Tailai Prison.

17. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Demei Sentenced

Ms. Wang Demei was arrested by officers from the Shazikoubianfang Police Station on July 5, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was held, pending sentencing, at the Pudong Detention Center. She was sentenced to a three year and six month prison term.

Ms. Wang was transferred to the Shandong Women's Prison on December 23, 2014. She is held in the 11th Ward and brainwashed daily.

18. [Jianli County, Hubei Province] Ms. Fu Xingmei Arrested

Ms. Fu Xingmei was arrested and taken to the Haoxue Detention Center in Jiangling County by officers from the Zishi Town Police Station on January 9, 2015. Her husband Mr. Song was beaten. The police confiscated two bank cards and several hundred yuan.

19. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Zaijuan, a worker from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Zhongwei City Police Department in the afternoon of January 8, 2015.

Ms. Jing Yuling, a worker from the Zhongwei City Hospital, and Ms. Pan Yongquan, a worker from the Zhongwei City Park Department, were also arrested by that Division at noon on January 9, 2015.

20. [Songzi City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Yang Taiju, 76, Ms. Xiao Xuexiang, 72, and Ms. Li Mingyuan, 70, were arrested by officers from the Zhichanghe Town Police Station on January 8, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are detained at the Songzi City Detention Center.

21. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced

Ms. He Wenting and Mr. Huang Guangyu, sentenced to a three year and three month prison term in August 2014, are detained at the Guangdong Province Women's Prison and Jiangbei Prison, respectively.

Mr. Huang Weizhong was sentenced to a three-year prison term on November 25, 2014. He is held at the Jiangbei Prison.
