Letter to the Editors: Suggestions on Article Selection

(Minghui.org) Editor's note: The following letter to the editor contains input and suggestions regarding the publishing of certain articles. We publish it as a sharing from fellow practitioners, hoping that it serves as a reminder for us to “treat the Fa as Teacher” and handle practitioners' sharing articles appropriately.

I. Suggest Not Publishing Articles About What Practitioners See with the Third Eye

Many practitioners still cannot take the Fa into their hearts when studying the Fa. It seems that many also have trouble measuring themselves against the Fa in everything they do or say. Some blindly follow other practitioners instead of the Fa. Therefore, I suggest that Minghui.org not publish articles about what practitioners have seen with the third eye.

For example, a series of articles were recently published on a practitioner-run website describing what a Western practitioner saw in other dimensions. Some contents from the articles seemed to have gone astray from Fa principles. When circulated among practitioners, these articles may cause interference for those who do not have a solid understanding of the Fa.

I suggest all practitioners read Master's articles “Another Comment on Evaluation Criteria” and “Determination and Solidity”from Essentials for Further Advancement; “What Does it Mean to 'Help Master Rectify the Fa'?”; “The Ultimate Objective of Clarifying the Truth”; “What is a Dafa Disciple”; and “Stay Clearheaded”.

If we study the Fa well, we will naturally know what to do when we encounter articles about what practitioners see in other dimensions and if they are deviant from the Fa.

II. Be Cautious About Articles That Ask for Help to Rescuing Individuals

Master said:

“Each person has his own cultivation path. As Dafa disciples, it’s only fitting that you think about helping your fellow cultivators suffer less persecution. But as for how to do it specifically, in cultivation, the person’s cultivation state comes into play. If his cultivation state is good, it will be easy to help; if his state is off, it won’t be easy to help. I can only say that you should try your best within your means to do what you should do. Actually, Dafa disciples around the world are working on this. They are exposing the evil and restraining it.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2013 Greater New York Fa Conference”)

Some practitioners are repeatedly persecuted because they do not follow the Fa's requirements or have betrayed Master. Some are persecuted because of loopholes in their individual cultivation.

There is nothing wrong with rescuing fellow practitioners. However, if the targeted practitioners do not have righteous thoughts or have deviated from the Fa, rescuing them without knowing the situation may affect our overall progress.

III. About Cultivation Experience Sharing Articles

Sharing articles should be reviewed against the Fa. Articles where an author is showing-off or showing other strong attachments (such as hatred developed amid the persecution) or where an author is asking fellow practitioners to follow his/her way of doing things should not be selected for publication.

Some practitioners in mainland China lack solid understandings of the Fa; they may blindly follow articles published on the Minghui website. This may bring damage to the Fa-rectification if those practitioners simply copy what others are doing (from the articles) with human notions and attachments.
