(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 13 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dai County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuli Sentenced

Ms. Zhou Xiuli was arrested by officers from the Yangmingbao Police Station when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on November 21, 2013. She was taken to the Xinzhou Detention Center. Ms. Zhou was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison, and transferred to the Maoerling Prison in Yuci.

2. [Zhangqiu, Shandong Province] Ms. Fan Suxia Detained

Ms. Fan Suxia, 43, from Puji Town, Zhangqiu, was reported to police and arrested for distributing Shen Yun DVDs to villagers on December 9, 2014. Officers from the Puji Police Station transferred her to the Zhangqiu Detention Center on December 18, 2014, where she was to be held for ten days.

3. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yan Passed Away—Her Son Still Detained

Ms. Li Yan's health steadily worsened under the long-term persecution. She passed away at the age of 62 on February 5, 2012.

Ms. Li was followed, threatened, arrested, and detained many times. Her home was also ransacked repeatedly. She was tortured, and her son, Mr. Zhao Guoxing, was arrested on February 2007. He was tortured and sentenced to ten years in prison. He is still being held in Gongzhuling Prison.

4. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Mr. Yan Jingyou Detained for Over a Year

Mr. Yan Jingyou was arrested in November 2013. His family has not been allowed to see him over the past year, and they do not know anything about his situation.

5. [Yueyang, Hunan Province] Eight Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

Officers from the Junshan District Police Station ransacked eight practitioners' homes in Qianlianghu Town, including the homes of Ms. He Ruiping, Ms. Zhao Qunlan, Mr. Wang Hongbo, Ms. Li Nianchun, Ms. Huang Yuzhen, Ms. Yang Li, Ms. Li Xiaoyun, and Mr. Gong Shuwen.

Officers from the Ligezhuang Town Police Station arrested Ms. Sun Yunchuan. Officers from the Jiulong Town Police Station arrested Ms. Gao Yihua. Officers from the Fu'an Police Station arrested Ms. Song Guixiang, Ms. Li Mei, and Ms. Li Xue. Officers from the Licha Town Police Station arrested Mr. Zhang Qinuo and Ms. Zang Zhimei.
