Additional Persecution News from China – December 19, 2014 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoping and Ms. Zhang Guihe Imprisoned

Ms. Liu Xiaoping, 58, and Ms. Zhang Guihe, 67, were arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on November 21, 2012. Ms. Liu was held in a detention center, where she was regularly forced to sit on a small stool for extended periods of time because she refused to write a statement renouncing her belief. She was sentenced to a ten-year prison term on November 21, 2014, and sent to the Yunnan No. 2 Prison. Ms. Zhang was later sentenced to three-and-a-half-years and sent to the Yunnan No. 2 Prison.

2. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xie Yi and Ms. Huang Chunling Detained

Ms. Xie Yi and Ms. Huang Chunling were arrested by officers from the Shizhuang Police Station on December 15, 2014, and taken to the Jining Detention Center, for talking about Falun Gong.

3. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Shu Qiongxian, Ms. Liu Shouxiang, and Ms. Tang Zhongru from Sanshui were arrested by officers from the Hexing Police Station for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Hexing Township on December 14, 2014. They are being held in the Hexing Detention Center.

4. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Fengrong Arrested

Agents from the Fuqiang Police Station in the Nianzishan District, the police department, and the community office barged into Ms. Yang Fengrong's home and arrested her on December 11, 2014. They ransacked her home and took a printer, a computer, and informational materials about Falun Gong.

5. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Mao Rui Arrested

Officers from the Jintai Police Department ransacked the home of Mr. Mao Rui's mother, Ms. Li Surong, on December 17, 2014. They took a computer, a printer, informational DVDs about Falun Gong, and other belongings. Mr. Mao Rui was arrested on his way home from work that evening .

6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Pei Yuxian and His Family Arrested

Mr. Pei was arrested by officers from the Bianfang Police Station for talking about Falun Gong in Dapuhe, Beidaihe New District in October 2014, as he and his family drove out together. Mr. Pei and his family were released, but the authorities refused to return their car.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xu Yongfan Detained

Mr. Xu Yongfan was arrested by agents from the Qinglong Domestic Security Division in Qinglong County on November 14, 2014. He is being held in the Qinglong Detention Center.

8. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Han Ruilan Detained

Ms. Han Ruilan, in her sixties, was arrested by three plainclothes officers at the entrance to the Wumenshi in Hongshan District on December 9, 2014. She was taken to the Hongshan Detention Center.

9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Peilan Detained

Ms. Li Peilan, 66, from Zhaijiazhuang, Bucun Town, Zhangqiu, was arrested by officers from the Caishi Police Station for talking about Falun Gong on October 10, 2014. After being held in the Zhonggong Lockup Center for 15 days, she was transferred to a detention center.

10. [Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhu Zhongfu, Ms. Liu Yijun, and Ms. He Gaoqiong were tried in Chuxiong Court on October 29, 2014, and sentenced in mid-December. Mr. Zhu was sentenced to three years in prison, Ms. Liu to two years, and Ms. He to one year.

11. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Zuoying and Ms. Wang Huanxiu were taken to the Jiuzhai Police Station by agents from the Yunmenghu Management Committee, and held in the Mengyin Detention Center. Agents from the Mengyin 610 Office and the Jiuzhai 610 Office arrested Ms. Gong Xiulian and took her to the Mengyin Detention Center on November 17, 2014.

Ms. Li, Ms. Wang, and Ms. Gong were released in early December. Ms. Li and Ms. Wang each had 600 yuan extorted from them. Ms. Gong was fined 1,000 yuan.

12. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Yin Kaikui Detained

Mr. Yin Kaikui from Linqu County was arrested on December 11, 2014, by officers from the Sitou Police Station, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Sitou Community. He is held in the Linqu Detention Center.

13. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Zhao Weiguo and other officers from the Dongji Police Department barged into practitioners' homes and arrested Ms. Zhao Jing and her husband, Mr. Qin Fushen; Mr. Ma Guilin and his wife, Ms. Yin Guiqin; and Xiaoxiangzi.

14. [Beijing] Ms. Guan Yingshan and Ms. Du Guiqin Detained

Ms. Guan Yingshan and Ms. Du Guiqin were transferred to the Beijing No. 1 Detention Center on August 20, 2014. Ms. Du was transferred again to the Chaoyang Detention Center. Ms. Guan is being held in the Beijing Police Hospital because of her poor health.

15. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Yayu Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yayu from Chahua Town in the Yingdong District was arrested in early December 2014, by officers from the Yingdong Police Department, for distributing calendars with messages about Falun Gong printed on them. They also took her computer and other belongings.

16. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Bin's Wife Denied Visitation

Mr. Qu Bin's wife requested to visit her husband, and was denied again on December 17, 2014. This is the third time in a row that her request has been denied. Mr. Qu was arrested on July 15, 2014. He was sentenced to six years and is being held in the Shenyang No. 1 Prison.

17. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Junying in Critical Condition

Ms. Li Junying, in her fifties, was arrested on October 30, 2014, and taken to the Daqing No. 1 Detention Center. She developed symptoms of heart disease and stomach ulcers while detained, and her condition is critical.

18. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Lu Songming Tried

Mr. Lu Songming was arrested on August 31, 2014. The Xiangxiang Court tried him on December 9, 2014, but no verdict was announced.
