Ten Tianjin Practitioners Arrested Between May and August 2014

(Minghui.org) Police in Tianjin City illegally arrested six Falun Gong practitioners between May and August 2014. Four Tianjin practitioners were arrested by police in Cangzhou, Hebei Province in August 2014.

1. Hongqiao District police arrested Mr. Sun Jinsheng, a bus driver from the Hongqiao District, Tianjin, at his workplace on August 22. Police ransacked Mr. Sun's home the same evening and confiscated his laptop and several Falun Dafa books. Mr. Sun is being held in the Hongqiao Detention Center.

2. Four practitioners from the Wuqing District, including Mr. Zhao Xiang, Ms. Liu Lixin, and Mr. Sun Manyuan's mother and wife went to pick up someone from Yunhe District Police Department in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province on August 22. Tang Guoli and several officers from the Domestic Security Division of Yunhe District Police Department arrested them.

3. Practitioner Yang Xiuzong, who lived near the No. 2 Bridge in Hedong District, Tianjin, was arrested on August 20 and released the next day.

4. Police officers from the Hongqiao Police Department and plainclothes officers from Xianyangbeilu Police station broke into Ms. Deng Xiaofen's, 44, home and arrested her on August 19. They confiscated her printer, laptop and several Falun Dafa books.

Two officers from the Xianyangbeilu Police Station also broke into her home while she was still in detention and confiscated another computer on the afternoon of August 21. Ms. Deng is being held in the Hongqiao Detention Center.

5. Police from Xing'nan Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Xiujuan's home in the Dongli District on August 13 and arrested her. They ransacked her home and confiscated her belongings. She is being held under criminal detention in Nankai Detention Center in Tianjin.

6. Several officers from the Xing'nan Police Station broke into Ms. Yao Yanhua's son's home in the Hedong District on July 17 and arrested her. The police ransacked her home. Ms. Yao is now being held at the Nankai Detention Center.

7. Officers from the Xing'nan Police Station went to Ms. Zhang Xiaoling's home in the Hedong District in May and arrested her.
