Additional Persecution News from China – September 15, 2014 (16 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Xu Xiucai Arrested

Mr. Xu Xiucai was arrested by officers from the Majunying Police Station for telling people the facts about Falun Gong on the morning of September 13, 2014.

2. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Twelve Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Wuwei City 610 Office, the state department, and the Liangzhou District Police Department arrested 12 practitioners on June 19, 2014. They confiscated seven computers, equipment, and supplies. The items are valued at over one hundred thousand yuan.

The practitioners arrested are:Ms. Wu Lanfang, Mr. Wu Jiamiao, Mr. Cao Shengjun, Mr. Zhang Wenyan (detained for 15 days), Ms. Zhang Wenjuan (Mr. Zhang Wenyan's sister), Mr. Xu Jinbiao (Ms. Zhang Wenjuan's husband), Mr. Zhao Zongcheng (Ms. Zhang Wenjuan's brother-in-law), Ms. Tai Meihua, Ms. He Cunmei, Ms. Zhao Cuilan (detained for 15 days), Ms. Bai Qunying, and Mr. Lei Peng (Wuwei City No.3 Prison guard, a kind non-practitioner).

When arresting Mr. Cao Shengjun, a self-employed doctor, the police took 30,000 yuan in cash from him.

3. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Fuhua Detained

Mr. Liu Fuhua, who works at the Xiangtan Coal Machinery Factory, was arrested by officers from the Jianshe Road Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on September 2, 2014. The officers searched his home. He was held in the Xiangtan Detention Center for five days.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Xiongshi School Teachers Sentenced to Prison

We have learned that three practitioners from the Xiongshi School have been sentenced to prison. Mr. Guo Baoshi was sentenced to five years in prison, Mr. Xu Juntao to four and a half years, and Ms. Chen Xiu to three years.

5. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuying and Another Practitioner Arrested Again

Ms. Wang Xiuying and another practitioner from Xiaodian Village were arrested for telling people about Falun Gong on September 12, 2014. They are being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

6. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Yinghua Detained

Ms. Li Yinghua was arrested by officers from the Beijing Road Police Station for talking with others about Falun Gong on August 15, 2014. She was held in a detention center for 15 days.

7. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xia Guofen Harassed

The police broke into Ms. Xia Guofen's home and took her fingerprints and a sample of her blood against her will. The officers also got her signature.

8. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Missing

Ms. Wang Lianhong, Ms. Zhou, and Ms. Lu Liqing went out to talk about Falun Gong on the morning of September 8, 2014. They did not return, and their whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Daoquan Faces Court Hearing

Mr. Liu Daoquan faced a court hearing for the third time on the afternoon of September 16, 2014.

10. [Luchuan County, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Chunkui Detained

Ms. Li Chunkui was arrested by officers from the 610 Office on September 11, 2014. The officers searched her and took informational materials about Falun Gong and paper bills with facts about Falun Gong printed on them. She is being held in the Luchuan Drug Rehabilitation Center.

11. [Dayi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gong Shulian Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Gong Shulian from Sujia Town was sentenced to three years in prison in Dayi County Court on the morning of September 5, 2014.

12. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Hu Jixiu Held in Guangzhou Women's Prison

Ms. Hu Jixiu was arrested by officers from the Changgang Police Station on June 10, 2009. She was taken to the Haizhu Detention Center on the evening of June 11, 2009. She was subsequently sentenced to four years in prison. She escaped about six months later.

About a year ago, she was arrested again. She has been held in the Guangzhou Women's Prison. Her husband was also imprisoned for a year for hiding her from the police.

13. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhou Wenxiu and Mr. Liu Arrested and Missing

Ms. Zhou Wenxiu and Mr. Liu were arrested for installing NTDTV satellite antennas in Maoming City. Their whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Elderly Mr. Meng Yuanlin Arrested

Mr. Meng Yuanlin, 75, was dragged into the Xiaoquan Town Police Station on the morning of September 13, 2014, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police took pictures of him. Mr. Meng's family took him home that afternoon.

Ms. Fu Guihua was taken to a women's prison.

16. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Xiu Detained

Ms. Song Xiu was arrested by officers from the Jiaotong Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of September 12, 2014. She was taken to the Weifang Detention Center the following day.
