(Minghui.org) More than 20,000 visitors from Delaware and surroundings states gathered at the University of Delaware on September 20, 2014, to celebrate the annual Newark Community Day. Over 210 groups and businesses participated this year.
Falun Gong practitioners returned to the festival for the 14th straight year. They displayed Falun Gong books and informational materials and played the exercise instruction DVD.
Several practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises nearby. Young practitioners from the Greater Philadelphia Minghui Chinese School Dance Troup performed traditional Chinese dances on stage.

A steady stream of people stopped by the Falun Gong booth throughout the day to ask about the practice. They were drawn to the gentle movements and positive energy that surrounded the practitioners as they demonstrated the exercises.
Many people said they were interested in learning Falun Gong and left their contact information. Several expressed their concern about the persecution of the practice in China and offered help to end it.
Among the visitors were many overseas Chinese students and visiting scholars to the university. They had an opportunity to learn about the movement to quit the Chinese Communist Party.
Many of them renounced their memberships in the Party and its affiliated organizations after speaking briefly with practitioners and understanding the CCP for what it is.
According to practitioner Ms. Yu, 19 Chinese people quit the Party during the one-day event.
