(Minghui.org) I've been making phone calls to China to explain the facts about Falun Gong on the RTC platform for over a year. I do this to help save them. In the process I've clearly realized that this is also an opportunity for Dafa practitioners to learn from each other.
In the beginning I was very attached to "techniques." Because I had done telephone sales, I always attempted to use my "techniques" when I called. I prepared a script with thousands of words, which I thought was well-drafted. However, I was usually hung up on or even cursed at, and I almost lost all confidence in myself.
After talking with fellow practitioners, I realized that making truth-clarification calls is totally different from telephone sales. Our goals, methods, and message are completely different. We are saving sentient beings, and whether we can succeed depends on our xinxing and our righteous thoughts. Only if our xinxing reaches the standard and our righteous thoughts are strong enough will the old forces in other dimensions have no excuse to interfere with our calls.
I realized that it's extremely important to study the Fa and that only by cultivating myself well will the calls be effective and people be saved. Now before calling, I always send forth strong righteous thoughts for at least 15 minutes. When I start to call, I remind myself I wish to save the person who picks up the phone.
In sending forth righteous thoughts, I am fully aware that I made a vow eons ago to save sentient beings. The tens of millions of years' wait is all for this moment. We should devote all we have to save those who are on the brink of being destroyed.
I feel as if can see my giant body in another dimension being protected and reinforced by Master, and all that I do is being watched by the numerous gods in the universe. Meanwhile, on the other end of the phone line, the knowing side of the recipient is anxiously waiting to be saved, but the person's karma, notions, and bad thoughts, as well as the old forces' interference, are trying to keep that from happening. In sending forth strong righteous thoughts, I tell that person's knowing side: "Practitioners are here to save you. Please seize the chance and cherish this opportunity!"
The moment I pick up the phone, my mind is always filled by a sense of sacredness, feeling that it is Master who is offering salvation. All we do is open our mouths.
Hence, I can feel Master's reinforcement and that "Sharp swords shoot forth from their mouths" ("Hurry Up And Tell Them" in Hong Yin Vol. II). Words come easily and are convincing; many of the listeners can understand the truth and quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
One time, a man began cursing me and hung up as soon as I began talking. I maintained my peaceful state of mind and remained calm. I sent forth strong righteous thoughts and called again. I said, "My friend, you cursed me because you don't know the truth. But when disasters come, you'll be glad we talked. I practice Falun Dafa and won't hurt you. My only wish is keep you safe from earthquakes, floods, and plagues, and I won't charge you a penny."
My words eased him, so I continued, "Why should we quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations? Because the CCP has done so many bad things that Heaven is offended. If you are still a member, you will have a bad future as well. 170 million people have quit the CCP and its organizations, I don't want you to be destroyed along with it. Let me give you an alias and announce that you've quit. Is that OK?" He totally changed his manner and agreed to quit. He also listened to the truth about Falun Gong, and was saved.
I feel that the people's manners are a reflection of my own state: When I have the mentality to fight, the person I'm calling argues with me. When I'm attached to ease and comfort, the people I call play games, and say they have no time. When I have the mentality to validate myself, the listener won't quit. When I call as if fulfilling a task, the listeners are also absent-minded. But when I am in a good state in cultivation, the listeners often agree to quit happily. Some of them even shout, "Falun Dafa is good!"
If your mind is pure and solemn, you will manifest righteousness in clarifying the truth. I was enlightened that this is also true for Fa study, sending forth righteous thoughts, and doing the exercises. Only when we regard what we're doing as sacred in doing the three things, can we be "godlike." Master said:
"Because it is the Fa, after all, if one’s state of mind is not proper, if one’s attitude toward it is off, what it will show you, or reveal to you, will be different. It may even display nothing to you." ("Fa Teaching on World Falun Dafa Day")
Master also said:
"If every one of you can understand the Fa from the depths of your mind, that will truly be the manifestation of the Fa whose power knows no boundary—the reappearance of the mighty Buddha Fa in the human world!" ("Cautionary Advice" in Essentials for Further Advancement)
