(Minghui.org) Celestial maidens, a golden dragon and a marching band in traditional Chinese royal court colors graced the streets of three cities in Malaysia on September 6 and 7.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, falling on September 8 this year, is celebrated in many Asian regions, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. Japan and South Korea also have holidays on this same day, August 15 on the lunar calendar.
Residents in Raub, Bentong, and Karak in State of Pahang warmly welcomed Falun Gong practitioners' Mid-Autumn parades in traditional Chinese costumes.

This parade was businessman Saiful Ahmad's first encounter with Falun Gong. He is very supportive of the practitioners' abundant spirit. He was shocked upon hearing about organ harvesting in China. He said he would spread the word and ask his friends to also support Falun Gong.

Raub resident Ms. Huang said, “We have never had such parades in our community, especially on a special day like Mid-Autumn!” She said the parade was very good, with every detail well organized. She is no stranger to Falun Gong, as she often sees practitioners at different tourist spots during her travel and has taken Falun Gong informational materials.
In Bentong, an old town with a history of over 100 years, many spectators were originally from Guangxi Province, China. Ms. Bei paused her work and watched the parade with her customers in the cafe that she worked at.
“I'm so happy to see this! It's special. My first time!” Ms. Bei said.
“Very good culture and very good moves in unison,” Mr. Chen, a cafe customer commented.

Seeing the parade, Mr. Xu in Karak commented that the parade contained Chinese traditional culture and was good for children's education. The celestial maidens are connected to the legend of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the dragon is a symbol of Chinese culture. “I'm thankful for the performances!” he concluded.
