(Minghui.org) A 55-year-old former high school principal was taken back to prison on September 4, 2014. Ms. Yang Guizhi (杨桂芝) has been on medical parole since the end of 2012. She was released from Inner Mongolia Women's Prison after she had problems with her heart.

After she was let go on medical parole, prison and local justice department officers harassed Ms. Yang's family regularly during the holidays. They extorted money from the family and tried many times to coerce her to sign a guarantee statement to abandon her belief in Falun Gong.

The harassment escalated in April and May. The prison authorities threatened her that, if she continued practicing Falun Gong, she would be taken back to prison even though she was on medical parole and hadn't yet recovered.

To date, the family has paid local authorities over 200,000 yuan to help rescue Ms. Yang. Since Ms. Yang was fired from her high school, the only breadwinner in her family is her eldest daughter. The prison demanded the woman's job as collateral for Ms. Yang's medical parole, so now Ms. Yang has to answer the prison's demands.

The family is in dire financial straits. Given the financial stress and frequent harassment by the local authorities, Ms. Yang hardly had the time or circumstances in which to relax and recover her health. Yet, she hides her pain to not cause additional stress for her eldest daughter, who has had a heart problem ever since her arrest and illegal sentence.

Mother and daughter have now been separated again.

Ms. Yang was removed from her principal post and demoted to security guard at her high school because she continued to practice Falun Gong and follow the Falun Gong principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She was eventually fired because of her belief.

Ms. Yang was arrested on May 12, 2011, for asking Wengniuteqi Police Department officers to release a practitioner and for telling them the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was sentenced to Inner Mongolia Women's Prison for 4.5 years.
