(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

Mr. Huang Shuichi, an elderly practitioner, was arrested and taken to the Henanan Police Station on August 5, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He has now been released.
2. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Tiane Arrested
Ms. Guo Tiane was arrested at home by Yang Yugang, an officer from the Zhuozhou City Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 23, 2014.
3. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Song Shiquan Arrested
Mr. Song Shiquan was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on August 23, 2014.
4. [Yangyuan County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Ms. Sun Yurong and Ms. Zhang Shaozhen were arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Town Police Station on August 21, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
Mr. Miao Zhuzeng, Ms. Sun's husband, was also arrested when he went to the police station asking for their release. The three practitioners were held at the police station for 15 days. Mr. Miao then was transferred to the Yangyuan County Detention Center and Ms. Sun and Ms. Zhang to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center.

5. [Linxia County, Gansu Province] Mr. Jiao Yonglin Detained
Mr. Jiao Yonglin was arrested by officers from Yinchuan Town on July 9, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Gong books. He is being held at the Jishishanshi County Detention Center.
6. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Fengran Arrested
Ms. Han Fengran, a retired worker of the Yanzhou Coal Mining Company in Jining City, was arrested by officers from the Guta Police Station on August 18, 2014.
7. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Mr. Xu Suijiang and Mr. Lu Songlin Detained
Mr. Xu Suijiang and Mr. Lu Songlin were arrested by officers from the Houhe County Police Station in Changge City on June 12, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police confiscated their computers, mp3 players, Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were held at Shigu Town for 15 days and then transferred to the Changge City Detention Center by officers from the Changge City Domestic Security Division.
8. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tang Huaying Detained
Ms. Tang Huaying was arrested by officers from the Rongcheng City Police Station at noon on August 22, 2014, for talking to a schoolchild about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, printer, all Falun Gong books, a cell phone, and money. She is being held at the Rongcheng City Detention Center.
9. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Lu and Ms. Tang Arrested, Ms. Tang's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Lu Congying was arrested and taken to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center by officers from the Chaoyang Sub-District Office on the morning of August 12, 2014.
The officers also arrested Ms. Tang Min on August 15, 2014. Ms. Tang's whereabouts is unknown.

10. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Mr. Mao Yiqiang Detained
Mr. Mao Yiqiang was arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Sanfutan Police Station and Domestic Security Division on August 8, 2014. He was later transferred to the Xiantao City No. 1 Detention Center.
11. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yukun Detained
Ms. Zhang Yukun was arrested by Liu Jun, a local security director, on the morning of August 22, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at Wujia Village, Xiangyang Town. She was later taken to a detention center.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Fenglian Detained
Ms. Liu Fenglian was arrested by officers from the Benxingcheng Police Station on July 20, 2014, for using paper bills that had information about Falun Gong on them. She was taken to the Guandao Brainwashing Center in Fangshan District.
13. [Chiping County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Detained
Mr. Wang Mingrong, Mr. Jiao Xuxiang, Ms. Xu Jinfeng, and Mr. Xu Gongmin were arrested by officers from the Chiping County Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on August 22, 2014. They are being held at the Chiping Detention Center and Liaocheng Detention Center.
