Doing the Three Things as Part of Daily Life
I’m an everyday working person. The days seem to be flying by very fast, I always try my best to balance the relationship between Fa validation, work, and family, so I can do everything I should be doing.
Besides studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts with my daughter, on my way to drop her off and pick her up from school, we listen to Master’s lectures. Last year, she clarified the truth at school and helped one of her classmates to begin practicing Falun Dafa. That young practitioner is very diligent, and has helped my daughter become more diligent than before. They work together, and have encouraged several classmates to withdraw from the Communist Youth League.
I often keep software CDs containing software to circumvent the Chinese Internet blockade, along with Shen Yun DVDs, in my bag so I can clarify the truth in different situations.
My wife and I take great care of both of our parents. When relatives come to visit us, we treat them well. I am often complimented. Most of our relatives have now withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Doing the Three Things at Work
I started a new job in 2009. I said to Master in my heart, “Master, I will follow your arrangement. Wherever I go, I will save sentient beings.”
I was on the night shift at the beginning. I clarified the truth to my coworkers working on my shift. Several predestined people learned the truth and agreed to withdraw from the CCP. One of them read Zhuan Falun.
My brother-in-law later heard that the night shift was very challenging, so he looked for a new opportunity for me that didn’t require working nights. This gave me more time to talk to people about Falun Gong. Plus, my new job is closer to my daughter’s school. Thank you, Master, for your benevolent arrangement!
More than half of my colleagues in my department have now withdrawn from the CCP. My group leader learned the facts, and often reads Zhuan Falun. He quit smoking and became very healthy. He often tells me, “Thank God I met you. Otherwise, I would be living aimlessly.” I said, “This is because you have a predestined relationship with Master. You should thank Master!” He often talks to other colleagues about the CCP’s crimes and lies, and helps many people understand the truth.
Improving Xinxing while Doing the Three Things
I make phone calls to clarify the truth. At first, I called my previous suppliers because I felt that they were all predestined. I hadn’t talked to most of them for many years. I clarified the truth to them and encouraged them to withdraw from the CCP. Many agreed and understood the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution.
I also had a good opportunity to improve my xinxing. One day, I made five or six calls, and everyone whom I called cursed at me. I felt sad and wanted to stop. Just then, I remembered Master’s Fa,
“...even if I could successfully save just one person, my things wouldn't be done in vain.” (“Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference”)
I suddenly understood what I should do... “Yes, if I could save just one, then it would be one person saved! Even if one out of ten learns the truth, I’m not doing it in vain.” I continued with righteous thoughts and compassion. Afterwards, no one cursed at me.
I once reached a military man’s cell phone. He asked, “Where is your organization?” I said, “There is no organization. There used to be assistants prior to July 20, 1999, who helped organize people do the exercises together. After the persecution began on that date, they were arrested. We are now helping people to withdraw from the CCP.”
He asked, “Why are you involved in politics?” I then told him about Dafa spreading all around the world, and why practitioners encourage people to withdraw from the CCP. He listened attentively. He said, “I’m in the military. I need to protect my country.” I asked, “What is your rank?” He said, “Major general.” I then told him about the corruption within the CCP and its army, and how his wish could not be realized under the CCP.
He was quiet. I said, “If helping people to withdraw from the CCP could result in its peaceful disintegration, it would be a good thing for the nation. When the country calls for you in the future, we hope you and your companions will stand on the side of justice and conscience.” He said, “Sure, I know.” I asked him to withdraw from the CCP. He said there was tight control in the army. I then told him that he could make his statement on a paper bill using an alias. I also asked him to tell others. He said he understood.
I often make phone calls to those who've participated in persecuting practitioners. I call them directly. When I first started doing this, my voice was shaking from nervousness. However, when I thought about the practitioners suffering in prisons, I was no longer nervous.
These perpetrators were often rude. I realized later however, that they were, in fact, scared. One head guard was involved in nine out of ten persecution cases in my area. When I called him directly, he hung up as soon as he heard I was a practitioner. I then sent him text messages telling him of the consequences met with by those who had been closely involved in the Cultural Revolution. I told him that if he started treating practitioners well now, it still wasn't too late, and that I hoped he could ensure a good future for himself and his family. Afterwards, I no longer heard any news about him being involved in the persecution.
I've made it to today by following the path Master arranged for me. I’m thankful for Master’s benevolent salvation and compassion. Only if I continue to be diligent in my cultivation, will I be able to fulfill the vows I made!
