Additional Persecution News from China – August 6, 2014 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, at least 23 Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cui Donglan Arrested

Ms. Cui Donglan from the Huangcun area in the Tianhe District was arrested in early July 2014 by the Huangcun Police Station for making and distributing DVDs containing information about Falun Gong. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuqin Arrested

Ms. Zhou Xiuqin from the Jiang'an District was arrested on the morning of July 22, 2014. The police took Dafa books, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, and a cell phone from her.

3. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ye Changhai Arrested

Mr. Ye Changhai, 78, was arrested and taken to a police station on July 31, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.

4. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Lijuan Arrested

Ms. Wang Lijuan was arrested at home by officers from the 610 Office on the morning of July 29, 2014. The officers took two computers.

5. [Kailu County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Tian Shuangjiang and Wife Arrested

Mr. Tian Shuangjiang and his wife were arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 31, 2014. The officers took a computer, cell phones, Dafa books, and other personal belongings.

6. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zheng Changhong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zheng Changhong was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center in the Nanyuan Hotel on August 1, 2014.

7. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xiao Ming Arrested

Ms. Xiao Ming was arrested and taken to the Guta District Police Department for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on August 2, 2014.

8. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cai Yucong and Other Practitioners Arrested

On the morning of August 1, 2014, Guo Haipeng, head of the Domestic Security Division, and other officers arrested Ms. Huang Zuolan, Ms. Cai Yucong, Ms. Wei Shuying, Ms. Bao Qiying, and Ms. Wang Shufen. Ms. Cai Yucong was taken to the Beigou area that afternoon. The other four practitioners were released.

9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Luo Shufang, Ms. Hu Bilan, and Ms. Li Xiumei were arrested on July 26, 2014, for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. Ms. Li Xiumei was released that night. The other two practitioners remained in custody.

10. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Guixia and Ms. Tian Yifu Detained

Ms. Zhang Guxia and her husband Mr. Tian Yifu, both 62, were arrested for posting truth-clarifying stickers in Liaoyuan City around July 30, 2014. The couple is being held in the Police Department Detention Center in Dongfeng County.

11. [Qianxi County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Long Guoxing Arrested

Mr. Long Guoxing was arrested recently.

12. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Honglan Detained

Ms. Liu Honglan was arrested on August 2, 2014, for telling others the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held in the Zoucheng City Detention Center.

13. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Zaihong Arrested

Ms. Lu Zaihong was arrested on July 18, 2014.

14. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Hongying and Other Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhu Hongying and Mr. Meng Qingshuang from Sihe Town were arrested on August 4, 2014, by officers from the Sihe Police Station and the Yushu Domestic Security Division. They are being held in a detention center.

Ms. Zhao Yujing, from Wukeshu Town, was arrested and taken to the Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 5, 2014.
