More Than Twelve Practitioners Were Arrested in Meishan, Sichuan Province

(Minghui.org) More than twelve Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested within an hour on the morning of July 7, 2014, and their homes were ransacked. Their personal belongings such as computers, printers, Dafa books, informational materials about Falun Gong, as well as cash, bankcards, and other valuables were taken away. Some of their relatives and children were also arrested.

Personnel from the State Security Bureau, Domestic Security Division, 610 Office, Special Police Team, police stations, and CCP staff at the township level were involved in the arrests.

Details of the Arrests

Ms. Wan Wu, nearly 60, was arrested at her home. Her books and some important items were taken away.

Ms. Wan Queque, Wan Wu’s sister, and her son-in-law, Mr. Zhang, were doing their normal business at their store that night. They were handcuffed and taken out of the store, and their store was ransacked. Their personal computers, recorders and other electronic equipment were looted.

Mr. Zhang Xuejun and his wife were illegally arrested at their home and sent to the Suxi Police Station. Mr. Zhang's wife was released later that day, but he was detained there. He has now been transferred from the Meishan Detention Center to the Qingshen County Detention Center.

Ms. Zhong XiuJun met two police officers in a residential elevator. When she realized that they were headed to her apartment to arrest her, she quickly left and avoided being arrested.

The next day, Ms. Zhong’s home was ransacked and her husband was missing. The police officers grabbed a portrait of the founder of Falun Dafa, Dafa books, informational materials about Falun Gong, a CD-ROM, paper, notebooks, printers, recorders, as well as more than 6,000 yuan and other valuable items.

Ms. Ho Tong was arrested when she worked at Pengshan County Health Department. She was released on July 15. Ms. Jiang Xiantao was arrested at her home.

It is known that seven more practitioners had been arrested. They are: Xie Kaijun, Zhu Qunhua, Wang Xuezhen, Xie Kejun, Huang Xiaoli, Huang Mane, and Zhu Zengrong.

Detained in Detention Center and Brainwashing Center

Among the arrested practitioners, four of them are known to be detained in the Meishan City Detention Center. They are: Wan Wu, Zhu Qunhua, Huang Mane, and Zhou.

The remaining arrested practitioners were secretly detained in a guesthouse at Hongqi Village, Xianer Town, Meishan City. The practitioners were separated, and each one stayed in a single room. They were watched closely by two to three CCP members from local townships and villages. They were not allowed to leave their rooms and were locked in at night. All the practitioners released were forced to sign a document to guarantee that they would not leak any information about their arrests and brainwashing to the public.
