(Minghui.org) In this muddy world of rampant material desires and degenerated moral values, Dafa practitioners live with pure hearts. This is especially true for those in finance and accounting, who deal with money every day. Some suppliers, bosses, and clients use a variety of means to build up their relationships with them. I have come across this type of situation many times.
A salesperson from a supplier, once showed me a bag of Changbaishan Jinseng and claimed that it was a special product from her home town. She asked me to take it. I told her sincerely, “I am a Dafa practitioner, and our Master taught us to always put others first. As Dafa practitioners, we don’t take gifts.” I asked her to rest assured that we would do good business according to the right principles. “Our Master is from Jilin and you are from Jilin as well. You are predestined!” I clarified the facts about Falun Dafa to her. After we were finished with the deal, she repeatedly called me to thank me.
I was an assistant accountant for over thirty years. Because of persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), I lost my accounting job in a state-run enterprise that I had been with for 23 years. With the help of fellow practitioners, I began working at a private company, first having to work as a cashier.
Based on the principle that Dafa disciples should be good people no matter where we are, we need to do our jobs well, diligently, and without embezzlement. I helped the boss to manage his accounts, using my expertise. After I came to work for his enterprise, the business grew bigger and bigger. As his management skills were lacking, he asked me to be his accountant and help manage the business. He later founded a corporation, and asked me to be the accounting manager, and also the assistant manager for the human resources department.
In managing the accounts and human resources department, I always followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. If there was a problem, I always took responsibility myself. In dealing with several complaints, because I have kindness in my heart, I offered apologies to our clients. My sincerity touched our clients and kept them with us. Our clients also spread the word around, and our company earned a good reputation.
In dealing with employee conflicts, I used Master’s Fa principle, “no loss, no gain” (Zhuan Falun) to enlighten them. As a result, the conflicts were all resolved properly. After the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published, I used the facts in the book and from Chinese traditional culture to create a newsletter for our staff. In training our employees, new or old, I used historical stories, re-incarnation stories, and folk legends to inspire their kindness and eradicate their atheist notions, so as to lay a good foundation for clarifying the truth to them in the future.
I won numerous compliments from both the boss and the employees. I earned a number two spot in a secret ballot run by the company, which measured the comprehensive qualities of the management team. I worked for six years in this company, and the majority of this company learned the truth about Falun Dafa.
A well-known enterprise later came to our city to expand their market. I got an offer, and have been working there for the past six years.
Since this was a new enterprise which came from outside of the city, very few people knew about the facts about Falun Dafa. That is why in the interview, I made it clear to my boss that I was a Dafa practitioner, making it easy to clarify the truth in the future. I also told them that Dafa practitioners are kind, unselfish, and pay close attention to their virtue. They said that they needed employees like Dafa practitioners, as people with spiritual beliefs are much better than those without.
Based on my over thirty years of finance and accounting work experience, and also taking into consideration working for private business, I made up a management plan that was very effective. I compiled financial statements that were understood by my boss. Within a short few years, this enterprise developed from just one store to a company that owns a factory, over a dozen stores, and several alliance stores. I was promoted to be an accounting manager, and my salary was raised.
I am currently in my sixties. I have quit my position as financial manager who was mainly in charge of the overall accounts of the company. My new job was a heavy-loaded position with huge responsibilities, and we were short of man power, so I decided to take over the entire responsibility myself.
The bosses of some of the alliance stores attempted to bribe me with red envelopes full of money. I refused them all with kindness, telling them that as Dafa practitioners, we don’t take gifts or red-envelopes. Several alliance stores transferred their money to the company. In the general analysis of their enterprise assets, the bosses told me, “Don’t be so serious, he won’t treat me poorly.” I replied, “I will deal with it in a fair way.” This was to be responsible for the company and for him as well.
He said, “Right now it is very difficult to find a good accountant like you who is persistent in their principles and does not work for personal benefits.” He wanted to pay me a higher salary. I said, “We Dafa practitioners are all like this. Others do even better than me.”
As to my subordinates and colleagues, I transferred my knowledge to them without reservation so that they could quickly familiarize with and qualify for their jobs. Even some accounting staff outside of my company asked me some questions about accounting, and I took some time to teach them. Also, it was time to clarify the truth. The cashier of the company was the boss’s wife and she would often go out of town. I was in charge of both the bookkeeping and taking care of the money. Very often I went out to collect money. I made sure the bookkeeping and the money were both clearly kept without a penny short. The boss was aware that I was a Dafa disciple and he was very confident in me. When money was sometimes lost because due to negligence at work, I took the responsibility to pay it back.
Nowadays finance and accounting work is all computerized. We use financial management software, which is accurate for data entry and also saves labor. I quickly learned the advanced management software, including all about installation, maintenance, system management, building up the accounts, and writing statements, etc. I felt very comfortable at work. I saved the company several thousand yuan per year in terms of manpower, property, money, and system maintenance. My boss’s wife said, “Very few people of your age know how to use a computer. Your computer knowledge has surpassed our younger generation.” When he came to our company for business, my previous boss said that he regretted not keeping me in his company.
My colleague said, “You are a valued employee of our company. The company won’t ever let you leave!”
Those who treat Dafa and Dafa practitioners well will for sure be blessed. The above mentioned two companies both treated Dafa practitioners well, even though Dafa is still being persecuted. And it is truly precious that they are doing so. The fact that the two companies have stood out despite strong competition in today’s society, and developed so quickly, is also proof of the heavenly principle that good will be rewarded with good, and evil will be punished.
