Additional Persecution News from China – July 25, 2014 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 28 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Ying Detained

Ms. Liu Ying, a teacher at the Jilin Information Engineering School, was recently arrested at home by Changyi Police Department officers. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

2. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Xiangjun's Family of Three Arrested

Ms. Meng Xiangjun's family of three were arrested by Yongle Police Station officers on July 21, 2014. Their computer, printer and other belongings were confiscated.

3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Hongmei Detained

Ms. Zhang Hongmei was arrested, by the No.3 Police Station officers, for posting informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of July 15, 2014. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Zhang is being held in the Qianan Detention Center.

4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Liu Xiangju Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiangju from Yuyan District was arrested, by a plainclothes officer, after talking about Falun Gong on July 21, 2014. Her whereabouts is unknown.

5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Tongshu Detained

Mr. Liu Tongshu, from Shimen Village in the Boshan Development Zone, was reported to the police and arrested for using cash bills that have messages about Falun Gong written on them, on July 15, 2014. He was taken to the Jiaozhuang Police Station.

6. [Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Han Chengrong Detained

Mr. Han Chengrong was arrested on July 19, 2014. He is being tortured in the Hedong Mental Hospital.

7. [Beijing] Ms. Cui Hong and her Daughter Arrested

Ms. Cui Hong and her daughter were reported to the police by security staff and consequently arrested on the evening of June 3, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Fuwai Police Station in Xicheng District, and the next day, transferred to the Xicheng Detention Center in Qiliqu, Changping District. The daughter was released on July 4. Ms. Cui was secretly transferred to the Beijing No.1 Detention Center on July 9.

8. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wang Qingsheng Arrested

Mr. Wang Qingsheng, 63, was arrested by security staff from the Xiangtan Iron and Steel Group Co. on July 20, 2014. His whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] 14 Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Xu Minghai and his father from Jinzhou District were arrested at home by officers from the Jinfang Police Station and the Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 22, 2014. Their home was ransacked. They are being held in the Sanliqiao Detention Center in Jinzhou New District.

Twelve other practitioners were also arrested that morning. Three of them are being held in the Jinjiajie Drug Rehabilitation Center.

10. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Ni Arrested

Ms. Ni was arrested on the afternoon of July 24, 2014.

11. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gu Fengli and Three Others Detained

Ms. Gu Fengli, Mr. Gao Zuokui, Ms. Zhang Xiuying and Ms. Xing Jiaqiu from Gangtun were arrested by Lianshan Police Department Domestic Security Division officers on the morning of July 24, 2014. They are being held in the Huludao Detention Center.

12. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xie Aiying Detained

Ms. Xie Aiying, arrested on April 22, 2014, is being held in the Qinhuang Detention Center in Meijiang District.

13. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhai Shuxiang and Ms. Liu Changhua Detained

Several officers barged into Ms. Zhai Shuxiang's home and arrested her and others from Nanmalu Village in Zichuan District who were practicing Falun Gong exercises together on July 21, 2014. They were taken to the Hongshan Police Station. One practitioner was released that evening. Three practitioners were released two days later. Ms. Zhai Shuxiang and Ms. Liu Changhua are being held in the Zhangdian Detention Center.

14. [Lulong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Huang Cuijin Detained

Mr. Huang Cuijin was arrested in June, 2014. He is being held in Qinhuangdao City.

15 [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Jiang Hongfu and Two Others Detained

Ms. Shuai Yuchun was taken to the Jixi Detention Center on July 21, 2014. Mr. Jiang Hongfu and Mr. Zhang Yuqing were arrested and are being held in the Mishan Detention Center.

16. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Qunhua, Ms. Mao Xiuhua, Ms. Ren Sufang, Ms. Chen Chunxiu, Ms. Yang Suyun and Ms. Li from Tashui Town in Wenjiang District were arrested at Ms. Liu's home by officers from the Wanchun Police Station on July 23, 2014.

Ms. Wang Cuizhen and Ms. Xia Qingyun were taken to the Luan Detention Center on July 22, 2014.

Mr. Cai Xinggang was recently arrested by director Ding Weiliang and others from the 610 Office.

Ms. Yu Jianying from Houyu Village was arrested at home by officers from the Qingyun Domestic Security Division on July 23, 2014.

Mr. Bi Liye and his wife Ms. Zheng Lirong from Wanda Residential Quarters in Luyuan District were arrested by officers from the Siping Police Department and the Domestic Security Division on July 20, 2014.
