(Minghui.org) Mr. Yang Xinqiu, a chemistry teacher at Lili Middle School, was arrested by four police officers while he was making truth-clarification phone calls on the afternoon of June 19, 2014.

The police ransacked his home that day and sent Mr. Yang to the Jiamusi Detention Center.

When his family and relatives asked, they were told by an officer that the police had been watching Mr. Yang for six months, that officers from the Domestic Security Division had taken part in his case, and that they not only wanted to arrest Mr. Yang but also planned to get his wife and children.

The illegal arrest has placed Mr. Yang’s family under overwhelming pressure. His wife had to leave home in order to avoid further persecution, and his children were sent to live with friends.

Arrested from Workplace

Four officers went into Lili Middle School around 4:00 p.m. on June 19, 2014. The security people attempted to stop them from coming in, but the police broke in, and said, “There's a Falun Gong practitioner in your school.”

Two officers went to Mr. Yang’s laboratory and arrested him there. They also confiscated four cell phones from him. Another officer broke into his office and took away Falun Gong books and materials.

Mr. Yang was dragged into a police vehicle. The school principal wanted to ensure Mr. Yang’s safety and asked another teacher to sit in the other vehicle. The teacher was told by an officer, “We have watched him for quite a while.”

Home Ransacked for Two Hours

The police ransacked Mr. Yang’s home that same day. More than 10 officers broke in. His wife and children were at home and were terrified.

The police searched everywhere in the house and ransacked it for two hours. They took away Falun Gong books and many of Mr. Yang's personal belongings, including seven cell phones, three printers, two desktop computers, two monitor displays, two staplers and several hundred yuan in cash.

The two-hour-long search traumatized Mr. Yang’s family. They were threatened and scared. They felt helpless but they were also indignant.

The police also attempted to arrest Mr. Yang’s wife.

One officer said, “You are required to go with us.” His wife replied, “I cannot go with you, as I must take care of my children.” The officer said, “Take them to your neighbors!” She said, “We just moved here, and I don’t know the neighbors. My parents are in their 80s. Please don’t scare them.”

Family under Overwhelming Pressure

Mr. Yang’s family has been under overwhelming pressure since he was arrested. Everyone is worried about his safety and health. His father is so upset that his health has deteriorated and he has had to take IV infusions. His mother-in-law missed him so much that she cried every day.
