Additional Persecution News from China – July 13, 2014 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 26 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Cheng Liping Sentenced

Ms. Cheng Liping, in her 40s, was arrested on November 28, 2013. She has been held at the Dezhou City Detention Center for 6 months and was recently sentenced to a five-year prison term. She is being transferred to Jinan City.

2. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Quandi Put on a Trial

Ms. Wang Quandi was arrested on March 19, 2014. That day was an open house for the general public to meet with the director of the local police station to report any concerns that they might have. She was arrested for talking to the director about the persecution of Falun Gong.

After being held for three months, she was transferred to the Procuratorate and put on trial in the Hongkou Court on the morning of July 18, 2014.

3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Mr. Bai Jiurong, Ms. Guan Shujie, Ms. Ma Liyan, Ms. Li Jun, and Ms. Dazhao were arrested by officers from the Lishan District Police Department and Shennan Police Station on the morning of July 11, 2014. They were taken to the Anshan City Women's Detention Center and No. 1 Detention Center on the evening of July 11, 2014. The police ransacked their homes.

4. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Rong Detained

Ms. Cui Rong, 42, was arrested at the Tonghua Railway Station on July 6, 2014, for possessing truth-clarification DVDs and other materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City.

5. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Province] Mr. Wang Lifeng Detained

Mr. Wang Lifeng, a former student at Xinjiang Medical University, was released in June after being imprisoned for ten years. He was arrested again and taken to an unknown place for brainwashing. It was said that he would be subjected to brainwashing for three months.

6. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Tried

Ms. Liu Li and Ms. Wang Xixia were put on a trial on the afternoon of July 15, 2014.

7. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu Zhiping, about 60 years old, and Ms. Zhao Caimei, about 70, were arrested on July 3, 2014. They are being held at the Nanchang City No. 3 Detention Center, Ms. Wu for 15 days and Ms. Zhao for 12 days.

8. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Eight practitioners from Meishan City were arrested on July 7, 2014. They were Mr. Wan Wu, Ms. Wang Xuezhen, Ms. Zhu Qunhua, Mr. Xie Kejun, Mr. Luo Libing, Ms. Huang Xiaoli, Ms. Huang Mane, and Ms. Zhu Zengrong. Mr. Luo was released that day.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zhao Banghai and his wife, Ms. Li Changqiu; Ms. Yang Zebi; and Ms. Xian were arrested at home by officers from the Longquan Police Department and Pingan Police Station on the evening of July 8, 2014. They are being held at the Pingan Police Station.

10. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Jinan Facing a Trial

Ms. Li Jinan will be tried on September 16, 2014.

11. [Tancheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Guan Yifang Detained

Ms. Guan Yifang was arrested on July 9, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She might be in the Linyi City Detention Center.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Illegal Arrest Warrant Issued to Mr. Jiang Jun

Mr. Jiang Jun, 55, was arrested by officers from the Xiaojinqiao Police Station more than two months ago. An illegal warrant for his arrest was issued.

He was arrested at home, on April 25, 2014 by officers, who had monitored him outside his home for several days. The police confiscated about 50,000 yuan and other personal items. He is being held at the Zaohua Detention Center, and no family visits are allowed.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xia Asu to Be Tried

Ms. Xia Asu was arrested by officers from the Zhonghan Police Station on May 1, 2014. Her home was ransacked. She is going to be put on trial.

14. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Warrants Issued for the Arrests of Three Practitioners

Officials issued an illegal arrest warrant for Ms. Sun Suying; her husband, Mr. Liu Xiwi; and her son, Mr. Liu Bingbing.
