(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 6 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Huanxia Illegally Taken into Custody

Mr. Wang Huanxia, 44, and his daughter, Ms. Wang Wenwen, 20, from Caozhuang Village, were arrested on June 13, 2014, by police officer Zhang Pingjian and others, for posting Falun Dafa materials. Mr. Wang was transferred to the County 610 Office and is in custody. His daughter was released.

2. [Shanghai] Mr. Huo Junzhan and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Huo Junzhan and his wife, who works odd jobs in Shanghai, were arrested and taken to a police station in the Qingpu District on April 14, 2014. The police ransacked their home. They took a computer, cell phones, and Falun Gong informational materials. Mr. Huo was transferred to the Hongkou District Detention Center. His wife was released the next day.

3. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Youfen and Ms. Li Mingxiu Detained

Ms. Xiao Youfen and Ms. Li Mingxiu were arrested on the morning of June 11, 2014, in Nanxing Town, by officers from the Nanxing Town Police Station, for telling others about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Guanghan City Detention Center. The police searched their homes.

4. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tang Meili and Her Sister-in-Law Arrested

Ms. Tang Meili and her sister-in-law from Yongan Township went out on the afternoon of June 13, 2014, to tell people about Falun Gong. They never returned. Their family looked for them everywhere before learning that they were being held in the Jiujiang City Detention Center. They had already been on a hunger strike for three days.

5. [Yibin City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Jianhua Sentenced to Four-Year Prison Term

Ms. Chen Jianhua was arrested on January 21, 2013, and her home was searched. She was sentenced to a four-year prison term on October 9, 2013, and has been incarcerated in the Chengdu Women's Prison.

6. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Shujie on Hunger Strike in Detention Center

Ms. Sun Shujie was arrested by officers from the Yonghong Police Station on June 4, 2014, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. The police ransacked her home and took Ms. Sun to a detention center. She has since been on a hunger strike. Ms. Sun was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment on June 12, and returned to the detention center that night.

Ms. Li Min, in her fifties, was arrested on the afternoon of June 13, 2014, and her home was ransacked.

Ms. Qi Xiuli has become mentally disordered as a result of persecution.

9. [Qichun County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Ying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhang Ying was arrested and taken to the Hubei Province Brainwashing Center on June 13, 2014.

10. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Two Practitioners Face Illegal Sentencing

Mr. Hu Yuanqin, 60, president of the Shuangning Group, and Ms. Zhu Defeng, in her sixties, and retired from a cement company, were transferred to Nanjing Brainwashing Center following their arrest on March 5, 2014, by police and staff from the Nanjing 610 Office. The police threatened them with illegal sentencing if they didn't give up practicing Falun Gong.
