(Minghui.org) A large-scale sales promotion took place at a furniture plaza in Jixian, Tianjin last October. Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hui went with her daughter and grandson to select furniture for their newly-decorated house. They selected a set of furniture pieces worth several thousand yuan. They got a discount when she paid for the furniture.
The sales lady told them, “We are now having a promotion, and whoever buys furniture can have a chance to win big prizes.” Ms. Hui said, “We already received a discount on the furniture, so we will just skip the prize promotion.”
But her grandson cried very hard and insisted on taking the chance to win a prize. Ms. Hui was thinking, “OK, let me do it. Besides, I haven’t seen anyone actually win, and this will hopefully cheer up the child.”
Surprisingly, her grandson won the first prize reward—a 46” TV worth more than four thousand yuan. Ms. Hui was shocked, “How could this happen? But I should not accept this prize.”
So she told her grandson, “Let’s not take it and give the ticket back.” The child cried and shouted, “Your TV is hard to watch. We won a new TV and yet you won’t let us keep it.”
The sales staff said, “For many days no one has won the prize. You are lucky for this child to win it. There is no problem taking it.” Ms. Hui replied, “I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. Our Master taught us to be considerate of others. We already got the furniture at a discounted price. If you give me a big color TV, won’t you lose money?”
The people there were all surprised, “Falun Gong is so good!” At that time, the boss was not present, and the child was crying very hard, so Ms. Hui had to say she would come back tomorrow.
Grandson Understood Dafa Principle
After they returned home, Ms. Hui told her grandson about the Dafa principle of no loss, no gain, and said that if they accepted the prize, others would lose money. Her grandson agreed and said happily, “Grandma, please give back the winning ticket.”
Ms. Hui took the ticket with her the next day and found the owner of the furniture shop. She gave it back to him and said, “I bought furniture from you and your shop already gave me a discount. If you give me a big TV worth several thousand yuan, won’t you lose money? Therefore I won’t take the TV.”
The owner appreciated Ms. Hui very much and invited her to a restaurant for a meal. He kept saying, “Thank you, thank you!” Ms. Hui said, “If you want to thank someone, please thank my Master. It was my Master who taught me to be like this.” The owner immediately said, “Thanks to your Master!”
Ms. Hui then spread the truth about Dafa to everyone present, including the other customers. She said Falun Dafa is the Buddha Fa, and helps people act in line with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and teaches them to be considerate of others.
She also told them that the “Tiananmen Self-immolation” was a staged act orchestrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). She also talked about the CCP's forcibly removing organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
All the people there understood as if they had just awakened from sleep.
The furniture store owner said, “Falun Dafa is so good! I have witnessed it and now I know that the CCP slanders Falun Gong.”
