(Minghui.org) I was illegally arrested for practicing Falun Gong and given a heavy sentence at the end of 2007. When I was first sent to prison, there was a young man in the same cell who didn’t speak, but always smiled at me. I thought that he might be a predestined person, so I talked to him. He told me his name was Huang Feng (alias) and he had been sentenced to 20 years in prison due to his involvement in the underworld.
One day, he slid a piece of paper over to me. It had Master’s poem on it:
“Having forged an adamantine willFree of attachment to living or dyingHe walks the path of Fa-rectificationconfident and poised”(“Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Action” in Hong Yin Vol. II)
I wondered, “Was he a fellow practitioner?” I asked him by sending the paper back to him and learned that he'd gotten the poem from another arrested practitioner who used to be with him. He asked me for more lectures. From then on, I often wrote down the lectures that I had memorized and passed them to him. If I missed a day, he would ask me for it.
When I saw that he was so focused and enthusiastic, I realized that he had obtained the Fa. After a while, I didn’t have more to share with him. Where could I find a copy of Zhuan Falun? So I sent a thought asking for Master’s help.
One day on our way to work, I heard someone calling my name. I turned around and saw an inmate named Xiao Tian whom I had met the first time I was arrested. He lowered his voice and told me that he had started practicing Falun Gong. I encouraged him: “You are doing great to practice Falun Gong in such an evil place.” He said, “I read a handwritten copy of Zhuan Falun every day and truly understand the meaning of life.” I said, “That is great. Could you please find me a copy of Zhuan Falun?” He said, “No problem.”
Then, using the excuse of practicing our handwriting, Huang Feng and I copied the Fa every day. It was as if no guards or inmates noticed us. I knew Master was protecting us!
Under the influence of Huang Feng, six or seven more inmates started practicing Falun Gong. One young man had his celestial eye open just several days after he started learning the meditation. He saw many scenes in other dimensions. He was so excited that he told a lot of people about it. Then someone reported us to the prison head, saying that our team was becoming a Falun Gong training ground.
One day, the division head called me to his office. Because I had clarified the truth to him by writing a lot of letters in the past, he was always polite to me. As soon as I got there, he said, “Do you know that I've been protecting you?” I said I did.
He continued, “You have given me trouble, though. Somebody has reported you to the head of the prison and soon they will send people here to investigate. Please help me out by letting Huang Feng and others know that, in case somebody asks them if they followed you to practice Falun Gong, they should deny it.” I thought that, since he had been protecting practitioners, it would be fine to deny it.
When I told Huang Feng, he said, “Shame on you! Aren't you a veteran practitioner? Now that I've dared to learn, I’m not afraid of others knowing that I practice Falun Dafa. Whoever asks me, I will tell them the truth with dignity.”
I was indeed impressed by his determination. He could be in prison for 20 years if the CCP learned that he was practicing Dafa! Looking at this new practitioner who had just obtained the Fa, I felt so ashamed. I even more felt the mighty power of Dafa. Later, somebody did come to investigate and talked to Huang Feng. He indeed said that he was practicing. The division head was transferred, and I was moved to the strictest division.
I ran into Huang Feng several months before my term was up in 2013. He told me that, after I left, several inmates were assigned to monitor him. He once tried to pass on truth clarification materials in the products they made. The factory discovered it and reported back to the provincial forced labor bureau. He was put in a solitary cell for 43 days and tortured by guards and inmates. The suffering was unbearable. However, his firm determination finally stopped them.
At present, there are many inmates practicing Falun Gong in over a dozen prison divisions. Many people have also withdrawn from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations in every division. In some divisions, over 90% of the inmates, including guards, have quit.
Due to the awakening of sentient beings, the evil factors in the prison have become weaker and weaker. It's obvious that the CCP will bring about its own end as a result of persecuting Falun Gong.
