Additional Persecution News from China – May 30, 2014 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hao Lihua Arrested

When Ms. Hao Lihua, 47, from Yulin Town went out to explain the facts about Falun Gong to the public at the beginning of 2013, she was arrested and her whereabouts remain unknown.

2. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Jincheng and His Wife Detained

Mr. Zhang Jincheng, in his 50s, and his wife from Huangheya in the Decheng District were arrested at home on the evening of May 22, 2014, by plainclothes officers from the Dezhou Police Department Economy and Technologies Development Zone Branch Domestic Security Division. They confiscated two cell phones and 500 yuan in cash with messages about Falun Gong written on them. The couple are being held in a detention center.

Ms. Ning Lanqing and Ms. Fangfang were arrested by plainclothes officers and taken to the Chengdong Police Station on May 22, 2014, for talking about Falun Gong. They are being held in the Sanyuanjing Detention Center in Downtown Area.

Ms. Yue Shurong was arrested on May 25, 2014, by plainclothes officers who were lying in wait to arrest her.

Mr. Mao Zhengxiang from Yangmaozhuang Village in Mengzhou City was arrested on May 28, 2014, at his workplace in Jiyuan City by officers from the Jiyuan Domestic Security Division and the Mengzhou Domestic Security Division. They also confiscated two computers and two printers from his home.

Ms. Liu Hongqin and Ms. Liu Yuhong were arrested by officers from the Shiji Police Station on the afternoon of May 23, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Shiji Town. They were taken to Dezhou Prison the next day.

9. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Niu Lanzhu, Ms. Du Juan, and Ms. Zhang Lingxue were arrested by officers from the Sijiazhuang Police Station on the morning of May 28, 2014, for talking about Falun Gong in Sijiazhuang Town, Luquan. There were beaten in the police station and injected with unidentified drugs.

Ms. Niu developed symptoms of high blood pressure next morning. She was paralyzed from the waist down and could not speak. Her family was then allowed to take her home. Ms. Du is being held in the Shijiazhuang Police Station. Ms. Zhang was transferred to the Shijiazhuang No.2 Police Station in Zhaolingpu.

10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Heping District Domestic Security Division and the Wusong Police Station went to Ms. Guan Xiumei's home and arrested her, Ms. Ding Lihua, Mr. Li Zhendong, and Mr. Zhang Hongtao. They were taken to the Wusong Police Station and held in a basement. Ms. Ding's lower back was badly injured when they kicked her. She has great difficulty moving even with the support of two people. Four of the practitioners were transferred to the Zaohua Detention Center

Officers confiscated a minivan, 7 computers, over 70 cell phones, prepaid cards for cell phones, 14,000 yuan cash, Falun Gong books, and photos of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li Hongzhi.

11. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Mi Xiuying and Mr. Qi Wenjie Detained

Ms. Mi Xiuying and Mr. Qi Wenjie were arrested by officers from the Tiedaonan Police Station on the morning of May 8, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in the residential area of the Paper Manufacturing Factory. Their homes were ransacked, and computers, printers, and over 10,000 yuan were confiscated. Both practitioners were taken to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Xiao Fengwen Arrested

Ms. Xiao Fengwen, 60, from the Chaoyang District was followed and arrested by plainclothes officers on April 24, 2014, for raising awareness of Falun Gong. Her whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Hongxiu Detained

Ms. Zhang Hongxiu from Nanjianta Village in Nanjianta Township was arrested for talking about Falun Gong on May 28, 2014. She is being held in the Caiyu Police Station.

Ms. Yin Aimei, Ms. Zhang Yumei, and Ms. Liang Guihua were arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of May 29, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. Their whereabouts are unknown.
