Daughter Illegally Arrested, Grief-stricken Mother Passes Away
(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Li from Dalian was illegally arrested while talking to people about Falun Gong at a market on March 16, 2014. Her 82-year-old mother was overcome with grief, and passed away from a heart attack on April 19, 2014.
When Ms. Wang's family members went to the police station after her arrest, they were told that she would be released in 15 days. However, she was transferred to the Yaojia Detention Center on March 30, 2014, instead. Since then, her family hasn't received any information about her.
Ms. Wang was arrested on November 10, 2013, and was detained for 15 days for telling people about her personal experiences of practicing Falun Gong. She let people know that the practice improves one's health, and that it only teaches people to be considerate, kind and patient. She also told people about how the Chinese Communist Party uses lies and propaganda to try and deceive people.
Ms. Wang, 51, was laid off from a garment factory. She used to suffer from various illnesses, including gastric and gynecological disorders. All of her illnesses disappeared after she started practicing Falun Gong in 1996.
When the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong in July 1999, Ms. Wang temporarily stopped practicing. Her illnesses recurred, but taking medication didn't help. So she began practicing Falun Gong again. Soon after, her health improved and she didn't need to take any more medicine.
Ms. Wang conducts herself in accordance with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She works diligently and is a good daughter-in-law, wife, daughter and mother. Her parents-in-law long for her release, while her husband, who works as a taxi driver, hasn't been able to report to work because he is very anxious about her situation.
