Several Practitioners from Jilin City Illegally Arrested and Detained

(Minghui.org) Over the past two months, several Falun Gong practitioners in Jilin City have been unlawfully arrested and detained.

While three Jilin City practitioners, Ms. Ma Hongjiao, Ms. Liu Yuxian, and Ms. Dong, were clarifying the truth to people on April 18, 2014, they were arrested by officers from Hadawan Police Station, and detained for 15 days. When their term was up on May 3, the three practitioners were forced to sign police forms at Hadawan Police Station. Then Ms. Ma Hongjiao was sent to Jilin City Detention Center.

Ms. Sun Fengqin went to get Mr. Wang Xiaohu out of the jail after his 4-year term was up at 8:00 a.m. on April 23. However, Mr. Wang was taken away by the officers from the 610 Office even before his family came. Mr. Wang’s 70-year-old mother and four practitioners accompanying her, including Ms. Sun Fengqin, Ms. Liu Yuhua, and Ms. Li Shixia, were arrested and taken to Beishan Police Station by officers from the Jilin City Police Department and the Domestic Security Division.

The five of them, including Ms. Sun, were sent to Jilin City that night and detained for 10 days. When the 10 days was up on May 3, Ms. Sun was sent to Jilin City Detention Center by officers from the Beishan Police Station.

The police went to Ms. Sun Fengqin’s home and ransacked it, took away her Falun Gong books, pictures of the founder of Falun Gong and copies of the Minghui Weekly.

Currently there are 15 practitioners detained at Jilin City Detention Center.

Ms. Ma Hongjiao was reported on March 28, 2011 when she was clarifying the truth at the Linggongli roundabout in Shahezi, Jilin City. She was arrested and sent to the Yuebei Police Station.
