(Minghui.org) Mr. Zhang Yingquan had just returned home from shopping on May 12, 2014, when more than ten police officers who were lying in wait, broke into his house. They confiscated his laptop, printer, Ipad and other personal belongings. The police claimed surveillance cameras installed in residential areas recorded Mr. Zhang distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

Authorities have intensified surveillance in the period leading up to the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), scheduled for May 20-22 in Shanghai. Many local Falun Gong practitioners have been under surveillance 24 hours a day. 610 Office officials, residential committee personnel and police have been harassing local practitioners more frequently.
