(Minghui.org) One Sunday afternoon I went out to talk to people about Falun Gong. I walked to a bridge construction site and saw several young laborers sitting on the ground taking a break. I greeted them and gave them some informational brochures, which they took.
One asked, "Would you please tell me something about Falun Gong?" I told them about the practice and how practitioners peacefully petitioned for their rights in Beijing on April 25, 1999.
I also told them the “Tiananmen Self-immolation” was a hoax, that it was staged by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to give people a bad opinion of the practice. I told them how the CCP has brutally persecuted practitioners and even gone so far as harvesting organs from living practitioners.
Three more men walked over and listened. I encouraged all of them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
They sat down near me. I told them how practitioners try to become better people in their daily lives by following the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
They were very interested in what I had to say. When I asked them if they wanted to learn more about Falun Gong, they said they did. I then told them that I would give each of them a great book, Zhuan Falun .
Some of them said, "That's great. We are looking forward to reading it.” Others asked, "If you have something more for us to read, please bring it." I promised that I would come back to see them again.
A young man squeezed himself into the front row, stood in front of me, and quickly said, "Say hello to your Master on our behalf!" His face turned red, and his colleagues chuckled. I thanked them one by one.
The next afternoon, I left my office early with a copy of Zhuan Falun and some brochures to talk to the young men again. Two of them from the previous day were already there, waiting for me.
I held the copy of Zhuan Falun and told them: "This is a great book. It has been translated and published in more than 30 languages. Everyone says that it is a heavenly book." I put the book back into the bag I had carried it in and handed it to them. They thanked me repeatedly.
