Additional Persecution News from China – March 18, 2014 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 5 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 14 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Chongqing] Persecution of Ms. Zhao Shifen and Mr. Zhou Changsheng

Officers from the Longxi Town Police Station and the Domestic Security Division broke into the home of Ms. Zhao Shifen and Mr. Zhou Changsheng on October 16, 2013. They ransacked it and confiscated 300,000 yuan. A DVD burner, computer, printer, MP3 player, Falun Dafa books, and truth-clarification materials were taken away. The couple was arrested and taken to the Yiwanshui Detention Center.

2. [Tianjin] Mr. Ma Jian Detained

Mr. Ma Jian from the Hebei District was arrested on March 19, 2013. He was sentenced to six years in prison by the Hebei District Court and taken to Yangliuqing Prison in November 2013. He was transferred to Binhai Prison in early March 2014.

3. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Mr. Xiao Lu Arrested

Mr. Xiao Lu, in his 30s, was arrested after he went out on March 10, 2014.

4. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Ms. Sha Baozhen

Ms. Sha Baozhen was reported to the police when she advised people to renounce their membership from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations on March 8, 2014. Officers from the Xiaodong Police Station in the Dadong District arrested her and ransacked her home. She is being held at the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center.

5. [Pingliang, Gansu Province] Ms. Xue Yueming Detained at Hanjiagou Detention Center

Officers from the 610 Office broke into the home of Ms. Xue Yueming, 60, from the Kongdong District and ransacked it on March 3, 2014. They confiscated all her Falun Dafa books, a photo of Falun Dafa founder Mr. Li Hongzhi, truth-clarification materials, and two television sets. Ms. Xue is being held at the Hanjiagou Detention Center in Pingliang City.

6. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Nan Missing

Ms. Wang Nan was recently arrested by the local police and her whereabouts is unknown.

7. [Liupanshui, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wu Zhongqin Detained

Ms. Wu Zhongqin was arrested when she distributed Falun Gong materials on the train recently. She is being held in the Nanming District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.

8. [Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province] Ms. Huang Cuijin Arrested

Ms. Huang Cuijin from Lumazhuang, Lulong County, was arrested when she spoke to people about Falun Gong on March 16, 2014. The police confiscated her electric vehicle.

9. [Suihua, Heilongjiang Province] Additional Information about the Arrests of Six Falun Gong Practitioners

Ms. Liu Xiulian and five other practitioners drove to Jinhe Township to distribute Falun Gong materials on the night of February 13, 2014. Wang Shubo from the Beilin District 610 Office and other officers from the Jinhe Police Station arrested them. Ms. Yuan Lizhen has been taken home by her family. Ms. Liu, Mr. Zhou Shutian, Ms. Zhang Qin, Ms. Liu Xia, and Mr. Xiong Hongwei are being held at the Suihua Detention Center.

10. [Guanyun County, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wu Shuyuan Tortured at Detention Center

Ms. Wu Shuyuan was taken to a detention center on February 15, 2014. She was confined in a small cell, forced to sit on an iron chair, and shocked with electric batons. She was handcuffed behind her back for two days. She did not eat anything and was deprived of sleep.

Ms. Wu was taken to a hospital for blood samples and an exam on March 5, 2014. She was then escorted back to the detention center. A guard told her that those who refused to "transform" would have their organs removed.

11. [Laixi, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Zhongfang Detained

Ms. Yu Zhongfang was arrested on March 10, 2014. She is being held in Laixi Detention Center.

12. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xingwen Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xingwen was arrested on the afternoon of March 12, 2014.
