(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 25 cities or counties in 14 provinces. According to this report, 9 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Guo Linna Arrested

Ms. Guo Linna was arrested and taken to the Baima Police of the Daguanlou Police Station on April 10, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yumei Detained

Ms. Liu Yumei was arrested at the Zhongshan Court where Mr. She Yue was on trial on April 15, 2014. She was interrogated and tortured by officers from the Minzhuguangchang Police Station and her face was scarred. She was taken to a detention center for 15 days.

3. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Ming Arrested

Mr. Wang Ming was arrested on April 18, 2014.

4. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yu Xueqin, Ms. Guo Guiqin, and two other practitioners were video-recorded and arrested in Gongzhuling City on the morning of April 16, 2014 morning, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The whereabouts of Ms. Yu and Ms. Guo are unknown.

5. [Shehong County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Xiangming Arrested

Mr. Chen Xiangming, 61, was arrested by officers from the Qinggang Police Station on April 9, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Du Longping and Ms. Song Ling Arrested

Ms. Du Longping and Ms. Song Ling were arrested and taken to the Yaojia Detention Center on the afternoon of April 17, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. Ms. Du's home was ransacked.

7. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Xiuxia Transferred to Fusong County Detention Center

Ms. Sun Xiuxia was arrested on the evening of April 17, 2014. She was transferred to the Fusong County Detention Center.

Ms. Zhao Xiuying was arrested at work by Song, director of the 610 Office from the Mining Service Department of the Daqing Petroleum Administration Bureau, on the morning of April 17, 2014. She was taken to the Qi City Brainwashing Center.

9. [Daxinganling City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Mingyue Sentenced

Ms. Yang Mingyue, who was held at the Jiagedaqi Detention Center, was recently sentenced to a five-year prison term in secret. She was transferred to the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison on April 8, 2014.

10. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Quan Wuzhou Detained

Mr. Quan Wuzhou was arrested on the morning of April 18, 2014, He was at the courthouse where Mr. Wang Yong was on trial. He is being held at the Qinhuangdao Detention Center.

11. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jinfen Arrested

Ms. Liu Jinfen was arrested and taken to the Hongqilu Police Station on the afternoon of April 19, 2014.

Mr. Wang Junlin was arrested at home in the afternoon of April 15, 2014.

Mr. Du Jianling was arrested at home by officers from the Jianshejie Police Station on April 17, 2014. Officers confiscated two of his printers and computers. He is being held at the police station.

Mr. Zhang Shuhui, Mr. Meng Zhanrong, and Ms. Du Jinxiu were arrested by the Daxing District Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office on the afternoon of April 16, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Chen Qiaosi was arrested on the morning of April 18, 2014.

17. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Junqin Detained

Ms. Wang Junqin was arrested by the Domestic Security Division of the Anqiu City Police Department on the morning of April 13, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers also ransacked her home. She is being held at the Liujiayao Brainwashing Center of the 610 Office.

Mr. Wang Dawu, Mr. Si Suquan, and Ms. Liu Shuhua were arrested by officers from Aohanqi, Chifeng City on April 14, 2014. They were taken to the Aohan Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Jun, in his 50s, was recently arrested by officers from the Anqing City Domestic Security Division for talking to his students about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at a detention center.

Ms. Qiao Guiying and Ms. Fan Yexiu were arrested by officers from the Wuyilu Police Station on the afternoon of April 19, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the police station.

21. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Zhicai, Ms. Liu Ying, and Ms. Zhang Mei were recently arrested by officers from the Guiyang City Sanjiang Police Station. They are now in the Xiaohe Rehabilitation Center.

22. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Zhenli Arrested

Ms. Yang Zhenli was arrested at home by officers from the local domestic security division and police department on the morning of April 18, 2014. Officers confiscated a dozen Falun Gong books, Falun Gong truth-clarifying desk calendars and single page calendars, and amulets.

23. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Yuanhong, Mr. Jiang Donglin, Ms. Lin Jing, and Ms. Lin's mother were arrested by officers from the Xiangyang City 610 Office on the afternoon of April 16, 2014. Mr. Jiang was released and Mr. Wang is being held at the Xiangyang City Administrative Detention Center. The whereabouts of Ms. Li and her mother are unknown.

Ms. Wang Yuqiong was arrested on April 19, 2014.

25. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wang Longying Detained

Ms. Wang Longying was arrested on the morning of April 18, 2014. She was later taken to the Xianning City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Shuxiang, in her 60s, was arrested when returning home to Lacey City, by the Weifang Railway Police Station on April 19, 2014.

Ms. Wu Xuexia was transferred to a detention center after being held for 15 days.

28. [Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region] 610 Office Attempted to Extend Practitioners' Detention

Ms. Yang Hong and Ms. Yang Xiaohui were to be released from prison on April 1, 2014. Personnel from the Shihezi City 610 Office in Xinjiang attempted to keep them in detention.

Both practitioners were arrested at the end of March 2011 and sentenced to three years in prison. They were tortured by Xu Ningdong, chief of the Shihezi Domestic Security Division, and other officers. Both practitioners were handcuffed behind their backs for long periods of time. They were forced to pick peppers while being held at the detention center.

Ms. Yang was force-fed several times when she went on a 30-day-long hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.
