Award-winning Music Teacher Mr. Ding Fadong and His Friend Mr. You Haijun Illegally Tried

(Minghui.org) About 4 months ago, award-winning music teacher Mr. Ding Fadong was released from a forced labor camp. This was the fourth time he was held in a labor camp for practicing Falun Gong. In September 2013, when Mr. Ding was visiting his friend Mr. You Haijun, the two men were both arrested in Mr. You's home.

Local police officer Liu Yong falsified evidence and Mr. Ding's signature and submitted the case to the court. Mr. Ding's case was returned twice because of lack of evidence. Liu Yong then falsified more evidence and submitted the case for a third time.

The court finally tried the two practitioners on April 3, 2014.

Illegal Trial

Before the trial, the court had police search the lawyers and the spectators. They even took a lawyer's bottle of water.

During the trial, Mr. Ding's lawyer, Mr. Han Zhiguang, stated that it is legal to practice Falun Gong, that no law prevents it. He also requested that Mr. Ding's signature be verified. The lawyer was repeatedly interrupted while he presented his case.

Arrested at Friend's Home

Mr. Ding Fadong is 51 years old. He was an excellent teacher at a middle school in Qingtongxia City in the Ningxia Autonomous Region. He is also a good keyboard player. His music won an award in a nationwide music competition. Mr. You Haijun is a truck driver.

On September 15, 2013. Mr. Ding visited Mr. You at his home. Local police officer Liu Yong broke into Mr. You's home and arrested them. The police also ransacked Mr. You's home. Mr. You and Mr. Ding were detained at the local Zhongning County detention center.

Forged Signatures

On September 18, officer Liu Yong questioned Mr. Ding. The police forged the recorded transcript and Mr. Ding's signature.

In November, the court told the police more evidence was needed. In December, police officers Wang Jincheng and Liuyong added forged evidence, but it was still not enough. In March 2014, after more forged evidence was provided, the case was submitted to the court of Zhongning County.

Mr. You Haijun's 13-year-old daughter was threatened and harassed many times. She could not go to school and became depressed.

Repeatedly Persecuted

Mr. Ding started practicing Falun Gong at the end of 1998. Soon afterward his diseases disappeared. After the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, he was sent to labor camps four times because he kept practicing. He was isolated, tied to a tiger bench, and brutally beaten. He was released in May 2013.
