(Minghui.org) At least 14 Falun Gong practitioners from Xiangtan City continue to be detained in prisons or detention centers. Please be aware of their ongoing status and do your best to raise awareness and demand their safe return.
Of the detained practitioners, five were illegally arrested by 610 Office officials in mid January 2014 and tortured in the detention center.
Of those five, Mr. Fu Xian and Ms. Deng Hua are a married couple. They have a three-year-old son that their relatives are taking care of. Their little one asks for his mother every day. The three other practitioners who were arrested in mid- January are Wang Guilin, Tang Peilin and Yan Sanyan.
Lu Mengjun and Liu Li were illegally arrested in September 2013 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Yang Shiyi was arrested on January 14, 2013, for the same reason. They have been detained ever since.
Six other practitioners, Xie Wangming, Yao Jianping, Hu Yan, Huang Douhong, Zhang Wei, and Wang Xin-Yu, have been detained in prisons and detention centers for a long time.
