Additional Persecution News from China – April 11, 2014 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioner was subjected to mistreatment during his detention, and at least 30 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Sun Yazhen and Ms. Tang Caiying Arrested

Ms. Sun Yazhen from Yangshan Town in the Huishan District was arrested at home by agents from the 610 Office on March 11, 2014. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

Ms. Tang Caiying was arrested at home by agents from the 610 Office on the afternoon of April 8, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Wei Detained

Ms. Zhang Wei from Xiagou Village, Jiaonan, the Huangdao District, was taken to the Beijinglu Police Station on the afternoon of April 7, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong. She was transferred to the Jiaonan Detention Center on April 9.

Ms. Min Juan from Yutai County was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Divisions in Yutai County and Jining City on April 9, 2014, for talking about Falun Gong in Jining City. She is being held in the Jining Detention Center.

4. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Arrested

Ms. Wang, in her 50s, employed in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, was arrested on April 10, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in her hometown of Xinning County, Shaoyang City, where she was visiting her family. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Dongling, Ms. Chang Lihua, Ms. Li Yunhua, and Ms. Yin Libo were arrested on February 28, 2014. They are being held in the Jiyuan Detention Center.

6. [Taikang County, Henan Province] Mr. Wang Yujue and Ms. Wei Junlan Arrested

Mr. Wang Yujue and Ms. Wei Junlan were arrested by officers from the Taikang Police Department on the morning of April 8, 2014, for promoting Falun Gong. Mr. Wang was released. Ms. Wei was taken to Zhoukou City with no further details.

7. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Nine Practitioners Detained

Officers from the Hecheng Police Department arrested Ms. Zhang Chunqiu near her apartment on the morning of April 8, 2014. They snatched her key, ransacked her home, and also arrested Mr. Wang and his wife, Ms. Wang Yuee, and another practitioner who were at Ms. Zhang's home. They were all taken to the Hecheng Detention Center.

Many practitioners went to the Hecheng Police Department the next morning to demand the release of the arrested practitioners. Officers then arrested Ms. Yin Qiuyang, Ms. Tang Kaiju, Ms. Tang Qingying, and Ms. Xiao Guiying. The four practitioners were taken to the Huaihua No.2 Detention Center.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhu Hongxia Arrested

Ms. Zhu Hongxia from Dehui, Changchun City, was arrested by agents from the Domestic Security Division on March 25, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Ms. Xie Jinping Arrested

Huang Wei from the Huangmei Police Department Domestic Security Division and officers from the Guanpaijia Police Station in Jiujiang Development Zone, Jiangxi Province, arrested Ms. Xie Jinping from the Jiujiang Development Zone.

10. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Officers in Mudanjiang City arrested Mr. Guan Rian and his wife, Ms. Zhao Xin, and ransacked their home on the afternoon of April 2, 2014. The couple are being held in the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Yutang and his wife, Ms. Zhang Cuixia, from Mishan were arrested at their rented residence in Mudanjiang City on April 3, 2014. They are being held in the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

11. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Sun Shuzhong and his wife, Ms. Han Sujuan, from the Longgang District were arrested at home on the evening of April 9, 2014. Their home was ransacked. Mr. Luo Qiang and Ms. Li Yuxian, who were visiting the couple, were also arrested. They are being held in the Xijie Police Station in Mazhangfang in the Longgang District.

Ms. Liang Guangqing, 62, from Futong No.1 Village, Jinjia Town, was arrested in Caijiagou by officers from the local police station on the afternoon of April 6, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong in public.
