Ms. Li Yuhua Arrested for Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Yuhua was arrested on April 1, 2014 after she was seen informing people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being detained in the Langfang City Brainwashing Center.

Unlawfully Arrested

Around the end of March 2014, Ms. Liu traveled from her home in Sanhe City, Hebei Province, to Xianghe County to distribute informational materials. On her way back to her apartment, the police followed her.

The police then showed up at her apartment on the morning of April 1, 2014. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, and personal belongings, including her electric motorbike, worth more than 10,000 yuan.

Ms. Liu and her husband were taken to the Sanhe City Police Department. Her husband, who does not practice Falun Gong, was released that afternoon.

When her family went to the police department to seek her release a few days later, they were told that Ms. Liu had been transferred to the Langfang City Brainwashing Center. The family wanted to send her some clothes and necessities, but the authorities refused to allow it.

Personally Benefiting from Falun Gong

Ms. Liu Yuhua is in her 40s. She and her husband sell fruit for a living in Sanhe City. She used to have severe rheumatic arthritis and could barely walk or take care of herself. After practicing Falun Gong, she experienced significant improvement. Not only was she able to walk with ease again, but she could also do household chores. She tells everyone her personal experience and that the Communist regime's propaganda is false.
