Additional Persecution News from China – April 2, 2014 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 3 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Shen Lidong and Ms. Zhou were arrested by Chen Zhikai, the Chengguan District Domestic Security Division head. The two were speaking to people about Falun Gong at the Sports Park on Binhe Road on the afternoon of March 8, 2014. The officer took 400 yuan in cash from them. Both practitioners were released and returned home early the next morning.

2. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Mother and Daughter Detained

Ms. Zhao Ronghua and her daughter, who is not a practitioner, were arrested by Xiangcheng County Domestic Security Division officers on the afternoon of March 27, 2014. Officers ransacked Ms. Zhao's home shortly afterwards. Ms. Zhao is now being held in the Xuchang City Detention Center. Her daughter was detained for 10 days in the the Xiangcheng County Detention Center.

3. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Du Jinxiang, Ms. Zhou Jianxiang, and Ms. Song Guifen, from the Huangzhou urban area, were arrested on March 21, 2014. The three practitioners were held in the Huanggang City No. 2 Detention Center. Around March 26, they were transferred by the Huanggang City 610 Office to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

4. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Zhuojun Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Hu Zhoujun was arrested at work on the morning of March 31, 2014. She was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

5. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Guo Miaoxiang Arrested and Abused

Ms. Guo Miaoxiang was arrested and taken to the Goushi Township Police Station while speaking to people about Falun Gong on March 28, 2014. The police ransacked her home and took away a notebook computer, Dafa Books, Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs and other belongings. She was transferred to a detention center, where guards abused her. She was beaten, deprived of sleep, and not given anything to drink.

6. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Hongye Detained

Ms. Zhang Hongye was arrested in Yuzhou City on March 28, 2014. She is now being held in a detention center.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Dianlan Arrested

Ms. Li Dianlang, from Wangzhuanzi Village, Shuangqiao Town, was arrested by officers from the Jingu Road Police Station while speaking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of March 31, 2014. She has been taken to the Jinnan Detention Center to be held there for 15 days.
