Additional Persecution News from China – April 6, 2014 (15 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 21 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Shan Yucheng was arrested by the police in Gaomin City on the afternoon of April 4, 2014. The police broke into Mr. Qin Songfa's home to arrest him. He had been released from prison less than a year ago. His wife, Ms. Xu Xiuzhen, his daughter Ms. Xu Li, who is ill, and three practitioners were also arrested. His daughter was released, but Mr. Qin and his wife are being held at the Traffic Police Division of Qilufangzhicheng in Gaomi City.

2. [Wenshui County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Han Haiming in Critical Condition

Mr. Han Haiming, in his 60s, was arrested by officers from the Jinzhong City 610 Office on April 7, 2011. He was later sentenced to a three-year prison term and held at the Jinzhong Prison. He was taken to the Shanxi University Hospital for emergency treatment on April 4, 2014, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.

3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yulan Detained

Ms. Li Yulan, 70, was arrested on the morning of April 4, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Tanghai County Detention Center.

4. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Four practitioners, including Mr. Shan Yicheng, Ms. Qin, and Ms. Jing were arrested by officers from the Xiazhuang Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 4, 2014.

5. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Shufang Arrested

Ms. Liu Shufang was arrested on March 30, 2014.

6. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhang Fei Arrested

Mr. Zhang Fei was arrested by police officers in March 2014.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Deng Guangyao and Ms. He Gongcai Arrested

Ms. Deng Guangyao, 73, and Ms. He Gongcai, 82, were arrested by director Li Linchun and officers from the Hanfeng Police Station on March 28, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. Their homes were ransacked. The police interrogated them. They were forced to sign documents and released the next day.

8. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. You Wenli and Ms. Wang Dongmei Detained

Ms. You Wenli and Ms. Wang Dongmei were arrested on the morning of April 5, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. They are being held at the Changzhan Police Station.

9. [Bengbu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Cui Huaifeng Arrested

Ms. Cui Huaifeng was arrested at home by officers from the Bengshan District 610 Office, the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the Sub-District Office at noon on April 3, 2014. Her home was ransacked and she was taken to the Bengbu No. 2 Detention Center.

10. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zeng Tiemei and Ms. Dai Zuolan Persecuted

Ms. Zeng Tiemei and Ms. Dai Zuolan were arrested at home by officers from the Qianlianghu Town Police Station and Yuan Chunhua, director of the town Judicial Department on April 2, 2014. They were taken to the brainwashing center at Xiuhuayuan Village in Rongjiawan Town. Ms. Dai was released on April 4, 2014, and Ms. Zeng is still being held.

11. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhao Yaling Detained

Ms. Zhao Yaling, 70, was arrested at home by the deputy director and officers from the Jinpenling Police Station in the early morning of March 30, 2014. She was first held at the Liuyang Detention Center and then transferred to the Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center two days later.

12. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Aiyun Sentenced

Ms. Ying Aiyun, 67, was arrested on November 1, 2013, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She has been held at the Jinyun County Detention Center. She was recently sentenced by the court to a three-and-a-half-year prison term.

13. [Yanting County, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Tried in Court

Mr. Liang Pan, Ms. Ma Yongxian, and Ms. Liu Weibi were tried by the Yanting County Court on the afternoon of April 3, 2014. Their families were not allowed to attend the trial. According to presiding judge Du Yao, their sentences would be determined after 10 or 15 days.

14. [Kaili City, Guizhou Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Mr. Wen Jiguo, Mr. Bao Zhengwei, and Ms. Wang Renzhi were followed, arrested and their homes were ransacked by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Kaili City Police Department and the Dashizi Police Station on August 19, 2013. They have been held at the Kaili City Detention Center for more than eight months. The Kaili City Court planned to put them on trial in April 2014.

15. [Jianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Suying Tried in Court

Ms. Jiang Suying, in her 60s, was arrested and her home ransacked by Zhang Shilin, director of the Shibandeng Town Police Station, and Luo Jiao and Li Guangquan from the Jianyang City Domestic Security Division on the evening of September 22, 2013. She was tried on April 8, 2014.
