Additional Persecution News from China – March 14, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Ying and Ms. Zhang Yingchun Arrested

Ms. Li Ying and Ms. Zhang Yingchun were arrested by Wang Tao and others on the afternoon of March 4, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. They were not released until officers had extorted money from their families.

2. [Gujiao City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Ailian Arrested

Ms. Li Ailian was arrested and taken to a police station on March 12, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in the Taoyuan Residential Quarter. The police station officials plan to send her to the Taiyuan Detention Center.

3. [Qingxin County, Guangdong Province] Ms. Shen Jingxia Arrested

Ms. Shen Jingxia was arrested by local officers and taken to the Taihe Police Station on March 1, 2014, for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Officers ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books. Ms. Shen was released that evening.

4. [Chongqing] Ms. Tang Tianzhen Arrested

Ms. Tang Tianzhen was taken to the Xietaizi Police Station on the afternoon of March 12, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Shiqiaopu. She was released that evening.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu, Ms. Wu and Ms. Jin from Pulandian were arrested for talking about Falun Gong on March 11, 2014. They are being held in the Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center, which is used as a detention center.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Xiaohui Arrested

Agents from the Zhaolinbao and Shengbei Police Stations in Shijiazhuang City, Shijiazhuang Prison, the local Domestic Security Division, and the local State Security Bureau broke into Ms. Bian Xiaohui's residence and arrested her and her relative on the afternoon of March 12, 2014.

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cao Yingchun Detained

Ms. Cao Yingchun was arrested and taken to the Dongan Police Department on the afternoon of March 11, 2014, for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and distributing informational materials. She was taken to the Mudanjiang Detention Center the next day.

8. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jiang Suzhen Arrested

Ms. Jiang Suzhen, 65, from the Pingjiang District was reported to police for offering an amulet to a driver on the afternoon of February 26, 2014. Officers from the Baiyangwan Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home. Ms. Jiang was released.

9. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Zhiqiang Detained

Mr. Li Zhiqiang was arrested by officers from the Changzhuang Police Station on March 13, 2014. He is being held in then Dezhou Detention Center.

10. [Beijing] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners from Miyun County, including Ms. Wang Yuqin, were arrested around March 11, 2014. Their belongings were confiscated.

11. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Lanxiang Arrested

Ms. Wang Lanxiang was arrested and taken to Tangshan City on the morning of March 13, 2014, by agents from the Linxikuang Police Station, Linxikuang Community, and the Tangshan Police Department.

12. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Sun Bo Arrested

Ms. Sun Bo is a nurse at the clinic in the high school affiliated with Huanan Normal University. She was arrested by agents from the Guangzhou State Security Bureau on March 11, 2014, and her home was ransacked.

13. [Fuan City, Fujian Province] Ms. Gao Su and Ms. Lin Xiuju Arrested

Officers from the Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Gao Su's home in Shangdonglong and arrested her on February 21, 2014. They tortured her in an effort to extort a confession. Ms. Gao passed out and was rushed to a hospital.

Ms. Lin Xiuju was arrested by officers from the Fuan Domestic Security Division on February 28, 2014, and her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Ningde Domestic Security Division.
