Keeping My Thoughts Righteous

When I first began to distribute informational brochures in 2000, I said to Master in my heart: “Clarifying the truth to people is something I should do. I should not focus on results no matter how hard it is, because saving people is my responsibility.”

It would be terrible if I took any credit for the things I've done. When I take part in truth clarification activities, I remember to keep my thoughts righteous and unselfish. For the past decade, whether producing brochures, distributing them or posting messages exposing the persecution, I was able to carry out these tasks easily.

Removing Slanderous Slogans

I often see banners and displays slandering Dafa as I hand out brochures. Whenever I see these messages, I think of ways to remove them.

I read on the Minghui website that a banner attacking Dafa was visible in a busy traffic area. I set off on my bicycle around 8 p.m. I saw the banner, which was several meters long.

How could I remove it? I was determined to get it down. I could not let it poison people's minds. I took out some tools, leaped up, and managed to latch onto the banner. I pulled on it hard and the rope broke. I ran to the other end and ripped the rope down. I folded the banner up and rode home. I later destroyed it.

One day when I delivered brochures, I saw eight large characters defaming Dafa posted in a small town's public area. Each character was about a foot and a half wide.

After I delivered the brochures, I bought a can of red paint and a brush and returned. I looked at the surroundings and it seemed to be safe to carry out my plan. I dipped the brush into the paint and began to paint over the characters. I left after the slogan was completely covered with a thick layer of paint.

Several days later I passed by the same area and saw that the wall had been removed to make way for residential construction.

Last year the street committee office made many signs slandering Dafa and put them up in every small district. There was at least one sign in each district. Some areas had more, up to six, while most of them had two to three of these signs.

There was always a guard in the area 24 hours a day, and I could not find an opportunity to remove them during the day or night. I realized could only remove these signs with wisdom.

At first, I only went out at night to take the signs down. I approached the guard calmly and told him I was there to collect all the signs. My tone was appropriate, and there was no room for doubt. My confidence increased tremendously with this successful attempt, and working with other practitioners, we removed two dozen signs that night.

We returned the next morning to take down the rest of the signs. Because it was day time, we could clearly see where signs were still on display. It was obvious Master was encouraging me because my body felt light. It took us two and a half days to finish the job. Due to the joint efforts of fellow practitioners, we were able to remove 170 signs.

Based on my experience of clarifying the truth and saving people for more than ten years, I deeply understand that it's not how many things a practitioner does that indicates their cultivation level. Doing things is not the same as cultivation. Saving people is our responsibility. However, one can improve one's xinxing while participating in truth clarification activities.
