(Minghui.org) Mr. Du Zhiying from Jianchang County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province died on January 16, 2014, eight months after he was released from the county detention center in July 2013.
Within Mr. Du's first month in the detention center, he had been tortured to the point where he was unable to speak and could no longer take care of himself. His over 80-year-old mother had to take care of him after his release. His most recent arrest occurred in July 2013 in Jianchang Township in Jianchang County.

Mr. Du was subjected to multiple arrests, detentions, and forced slave labor over the past several years.
He was shocked with multiple electric batons at 800,000 volts in the No. 3 Division of the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, a division established on September 29, 2008 and dedicated to persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.
He was also subjected to forced slave labor at the Huludao City Forced Labor Camp after being transferred there on June 18, 2007.
