(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Yuqin, now 50-years-old, was born with a dislodged hip bone that severely affected her mobility throughout her life. In 2003, she was diagnosed with a debilitating condition called femoral head necrosis, which affected her right leg. However in 2007, when she started practicing Falun Gong, miraculously she found that she no longer required a walking cane or anything else that she needed through years of being physically disabled. One doctor who knew her previous condition was very surprised to find out that she was able to walk now. He said: “This is a miracle.”

Ms. Liu is one of many Falun Gong practitioners who are on the run from police since the illegal persecution began in 1999. She is unable to return home to be with family, even during Chinese New Year.

Harassment and Arrest Attempt

On January 10, 2014 at 10 a.m., several local village officials and police forced their way into Ms. Liu's home in Fan Jiatun town of Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province, wanting to arrest her. They included deputy village head Wang Qiang, assistant Zhao Yunhe and security officer Wei. At that time, they followed Ms. Liu’s daughter Ling, who was returning from retrieving water from their well. They followed her into the house without permission.

When Wei and Wang saw two framed photos of Falun Gong's founder, they tore them down and threw them to the floor. The glass shattered on the hardwood floor. They then stomped on the frames several times to completely destroy them.

Finding another room locked, these officers kicked down the door. In their search, Falun Gong books were strewn all over the floor and her home was completely ransacked and trashed.

When Wei went to take Ms. Liu’s purse, she resisted and held it tightly. She was then pushed to the floor, and Wei grabbed her by her blouse, exposing her breast. Ms. Liu yelled in protest, but Wei did not stop until he got the purse.

As the officers continued their search in another room, Ms. Liu was able to escape through a bathroom window.

On two occasions, without any identification or legal documents, they returned to the house in pursuit of her. They threatened to break her other leg if they ever caught her.

They videotaped various rooms and took the satellite dish, claiming that it was used to receive information related to Falun Gong. In addition, they also confiscated Falun Gong books and materials, calendars, an MP3 player and 390 yuan in cash.
