I teach English at a secondary school, and often explain the facts about Falun Gong and the persecution to my students. There have been times when the students say out loud what I wanted to say, but didn't. From these experiences, I realize that Master is next to me, giving me confidence to clarify the truth by using the students' mouths.

Students Know the Truth

English is a great subject to teach because it gives me many opportunities to talk to the students about different topics, and connect it to the persecution of Falun Dafa. For example, when we talked about Christmas, I explained to the students that people in other countries around the world have freedom of belief, and that they can believe in any religion they want. However, people in China are persecuted for their beliefs. The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) promotion of atheism has led many Chinese to no longer believe that “good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with retribution.” Thus, morality is deteriorating daily, and many officials are corrupt.

On the topic of Easter, I mentioned that people who persecute cultivators are committing a grave sin, and will meet with retribution. Roman Emperor Nero persecuted and killed the Christians for their beliefs, and public opinion eventually turned against his cruelty. In the end, he committed suicide. When I said that something similar is happening in China, a student said, “Falun Dafa [practitioners are being persecuted by the CCP].”

When I talked about Wang Lijun persecuting good people, and Bo Xilai harvesting innocent people's organs, a student said out loud, “The Party is so corrupt. Heaven will eliminate it.”

Many students know about the stone in a national park in Guizhou Province that has six characters naturally formed on it, “The Chinese Communist Party Collapses.” In class, I wrote 'udumbara' and 'stone carved with words' on the board and asked the students to research it at home. I knew that not everyone would do the assignment, but as long as one of them researched it, the entire class would learn about it when we discussed it the next time.

Introducing New Tang Dynasty TV Programs

I often introduce programs from New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) in class.

When students learn the word 'Chinatown,' I tell them that this is where many Chinese businesses are located and where Chinese people live. Chinatown is also called Tang Dynasty Peoples' Street because the Tang Dynasty was known as the Golden Age where Chinese culture, art, fashion, etc. flourished, and had a lot of influence on other countries. I then naturally introduce them to NTDTV.

All of my students are interested in NTD's programs, such as China Forbidden News. When any big “news” occurs in China, the students ask me, “Teacher, what did New Tang Dynasty say?”

Although I introduced many of the NTDTV programs, I didn't show them in class for the students to watch because I had human notions and attachments that obstructed me. It wasn't until the night before the last day of class before exams that I realized it would be the last chance for me to play the programs for them to watch. I felt Master was giving me a hint.

The next day, I played the video of the Shen Yun reviews from around the world. All of the students became excited, pointed to the character 'Tang' on the screen, and asked, “Teacher, is this a program from NTDTV?” I replied, “Yes. The character 'Tang' is the symbol of NTDTV.”

When I explained that Shen Yun was gaining popularity around the world, and that many audience members were praising the show, one student suggested, “Teacher, how about we stop learning and watch Shen Yun instead?” Sadly, I didn't have the Shen Yun DVD with me, and I could only invite them to watch it at my home after their exams.

In a different class I taught, many of the students didn't like to study. It was even harder to maintain order in the class. I decided to show a program that I had downloaded from NTDTV in class one day. All of them watched the show quietly, and the atmosphere became tranquil. I sincerely thanked Master in my heart. After the show was over, the students said, “Teacher, let's watch it again next time.”

Learning More About Falun Dafa

On the first day of class, I tell the students that I teach according to the principles of sincerity, kindness and tolerance. In one class, several students immediately understood the connotation and said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Some students knew that I practiced Falun Dafa, so they freely expressed themselves in class without fear.

A student asked me on May 13, “Teacher, what day is it today?” I was taken aback by his question and didn't give an answer right away. He continued, “It's posted on the wall outside.” I then understood what he meant and said, “Today is our festival. It is a day when heaven and earth both celebrate.” Another student said, “Falun Dafa Day!”

A male student once asked if I knew about the book Zhuan Falun. I replied, “It is a precious book, and has been translated into more than 30 languages, including English. I read it every day.” Another student said, “Teacher, lend the book to us to read.”

The students sometimes bring truth-clarification materials and pass them around in class. A student who sits in the front of the class even brought a flyer with the words 'Falun Dafa is good' on it, and taped it to the side of his desk. I showed the flyer to the whole class, and everyone excitedly talked about it. They eventually asked me tell them more about Falun Dafa.

There is a blackboard in one of the hallways in school. Someone once wrote 'Falun Dafa is good' on it. It got erased, but someone wrote the same thing on it again. The headmaster became scared and took the blackboard down.

It is common to see the students reading aloud the truth-clarification words written on currency.

Sometimes I play songs composed by practitioners during break. Most of students like to listen to them.

Teaching Students in a Low-performing Class

In one of my English classes, most of the students didn't like to learn English, so tests were given to them randomly. If my cultivation state was good, the words “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” would appear on the blackboard, and the students would wait for me in class with a paper taped to the wall that said “Falun Gong is great!” When my cultivation state wasn't good, they would put the truth-clarification money on the blackboard, but scrape the words off. When I blamed them, they would remind me, “Teacher, [remember] Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

A student once said, “Teacher, I reported two old women who practice Falun Gong because they always run after me and ask me to quit the Young Pioneers.” I became very angry inside, but remained calm on the surface. I calmed down, and genuinely considered his situation. With compassion from my heart, I explained to him the basic moral standard of being a human being, and the truth of Dafa. He finally accepted the truth.

Another student always talked back to me when I corrected his English. I didn't guard my xinxing one time, and asked him to leave the classroom. He then called his father and told him he wanted to report me to the authorities for practicing Falun Dafa. He had recently reported on another teacher who is a practitioner.

His father knew that I practiced Falun Dafa, and held me in high regard. He scolded his son for wanting to report me to the authorities. The father called me a couple of days later and apologized on behalf of his son.

I always regret any conflicts I have with the students. I sometimes hear the old forces laugh at me, “Look, she has failed to guard her xinxing again.” Many times I have repented in front of Master's picture, but Master always looks at me with a smile, encouraging me.

One time, when I failed to live up to Master's expectation, I began to repeatedly recite Master's poem, “Don't Argue,”

“Don’t argue when people argue with you
Cultivation is looking within for the cause
Wanting to explain just feeds the attachment
Breadth of mind, unattached, brings true insight” (Hong Yin III)

After reciting Master's poem, the conflict between the students and I gradually disappeared. My xinxing has improved as well.

Incident with Counterfeit Money

I was in charge of collecting money from students a few years ago. If a teacher received counterfeit money, he/she would have to reimburse the loss out of their own pocket. All of the teachers at my school told the students to write their names on the bill when they were in charge collecting the money, but I didn't. I felt it's not respectful to the students or their parents.

The school once found a counterfeit bill from my class. The accountant asked me to pay for it. I said, “Let me investigate it first.” The staff thought it was a waste of time to investigate the issue because they didn't think I could find out the truth.

When I told my students about the counterfeit money, they were all shocked and said, “Who did such a terrible thing? Won't this hurt our teacher? Don't you know that one must be honest?” I explained, “It may have been a mistake. Just go home and think about it. If no one admits that it is their money, I will just tear it up in front of you.” I wasn't too concern about the issue and just let things happen naturally.

The next day, a student explained that her father had received the counterfeit money, and her mother mistakenly gave it to her. She then gave me genuine money to replace it. I was moved by her honesty and said, “Thank you, and thank your parents for me. I have witnessed your kind hearts.”

All of my colleagues were surprised that the student came forward. They didn't think in our current society that someone would acknowledge they used counterfeit money. One teacher said to me, “Your Falun Gong principles are bearing fruit.”

Breaking Through the Internet Blockade

The students enjoy my lessons, and look forward to hearing my stories because I always tell them news from outside China. I have told them about the software that can circumvent the Internet blockade, such as Aibo TV and Freegate. However, I never gave them the software due to the attachment of fear.

One day, a student said, “Teacher, I went to the overseas website and was able to watch NTDTV.” When I asked where he got the software, he told me that he downloaded it from the Internet.

I had searched several times online, but could never find the software. He later told me how to do it. When I tried it at home, it worked very well. I realized that Master was helping me. Master allowed him to download the software, so he could share it with the other students. I didn't need to give it to them directly. I deeply felt Master's infinite compassion.

My human attachments and notions have gradually weakened and gone away as long as I validated the Fa. However, I am sometimes still affected by the attachment to fame, self-interest, and emotion, and can't put clarifying the truth and saving people as a priority. I need to live up to Master's compassionate salvation. I must read the Fa and send forth righteous thoughts more, and eliminate all my attachments.
