Falun Gong practitioners came to Negeri Sembilan, Bahau, at 10 a.m and held a grand parade there. It was the first time practitioners celebrated the Lunar Year with a parade in this locality.
The procession was led by the Divine Land Marching Band and included a traditional lion dance, lantern team, waist drum group, and practitioners dressed as heavenly maidens. Many spectators watched the parade and expressed how delighted they were to have this event in their city.
Local resident Qiu Guanying said: “The parade let me feel the atmosphere of the New Year with traditional culture. I'd seen a lion dance and a dragon dance before, but watched a parade for the first time. The music let everyone feel joyful. The parade participants are great. It is great!”
A former dental nurse Lin Yuzhen said it was her first time to see such a parade. She said she felt fortunate to learn about Falun Gong, as she was interested in qigong. She wished that practitioners could hold a session to teach the exercises in the city.
Another spectator, Li Jifu, said: “This is the New Year atmosphere I have never experienced. I appreciate Falun Gong practitioners bringing the parade to Bahau residents. We are truly delighted. Thank you!”
