(Minghui.org) I am a vocational school teacher. I was asked to be a head teacher for a class of close to 70 students. This was the worst class in the school and was known for low attendance. I thought that this might be the opportunity Master arranged for me to save predestined people. I accepted the challenge and quickly helped the class to get on the right track.

Clarifying the Facts to Students

One student helped me clean up the classroom after school. She asked me if I was tired since I worked so hard. I told her that I never feel tired because I do the Falun Dafa exercises and read Zhuan Falun, the main book of the practice, daily. I did not go into detail but said that I would talk to her later about the practice. She looked rather surprised.

I got a short letter from her father cautioning me not to spread bad information to students and telling me that I could lose my job. I was frightened and nervous. Then I remembered what Master said in Hong Yin and wanted to save the student's father.

Master said:

“If you have fear, they will grab youOnce your thought is righteous, evil will collapsePeople practicing cultivation, filled with FaSending righteous thoughts, exploding rotten ghostsGods are in the world, validating Fa” (“What's There to Fear” from Hong Yin Vol. II)

I called the father and told him that Falun Dafa has been overwhelmingly accepted by more than 100 million people worldwide and that Zhuan Falun has been translated into more than 30 languages. I said that high ranking members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are corrupt and the Tiananmen Square “self-immolation” was a hoax concocted by the CCP.

We talked for over an hour. He understood and asked me not to punish his daughter. I assured him that I treat all my students kindly. The student was no longer afraid of me. After this incident, I looked inward and realized that I had an attachment of anxiousness and was too hasty in clarifying the facts.

I only met with the class an hour a week. I was anxious that I would not have enough time to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa to my students. However I was fortunate to be assigned as a substitute teacher to this class for two weeks just before their graduation.

I talked to the students about the physical and mental benefits derived from practicing Falun Dafa. I debunked the staged “Tiananmen Square Self-immolation.” I told them the value of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” and much more. The students listened, and some asked questions. I was pleased for those who understood the facts.

I planned to let them watch the Shen Yun performance DVD at another class, but a couple of students wanted to watch something else. I sent righteous thoughts and the other movies would not start. The entire class thus watched the Shen Yun performance. This paved the way for me to help some students renounce the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

Encouraging Colleagues to Practice Falun Dafa

One of my colleagues was assigned to take charge of a class. She asked me for advice, since my class was no longer unruly. I took this opportunity to clarify the facts and talk about the benefits I obtained from practicing Falun Dafa. I also gave her a Dafa E-book, Dafa brochures, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Shen Yun performance DVDs, and other Dafa materials.

She has practiced Falun Dafa for almost two years, studies the Fa diligently, and her xinxing has improved greatly. She told me that her husband wanted to divorce her. We looked inwards to find the root of interference.

She realized that she had a number of attachments, such as jealousy, fighting, disrespect for family, resentment, and dependence. She did not have a good relationship with her mother-in-law and was often angry with her. As I advised, she apologized to her mother-in-law and her husband for her bad behavior. Her family has gotten along well ever since. Dafa saved this family!

I found that I also held the same attachments. This incident urged me to elevate myself. I became more clear on the Fa principles and able to let go of those attachments.

Master has frequently arranged opportunities for me to travel with predestined colleagues. During the trips, I had more time to clarify the facts in detail. Generally, I addressed student management, education system failure, and fraud and corruption by CCP high ranking members. I then clarified the facts about the health benefits from cultivating. Some colleagues became interested in practicing Falun Dafa.

Clarifying the Facts to the School Deputy Secretary

Most of the leaders at my school knew that I was a practitioner. They understood the facts and protected Dafa disciples. Some, however, were influenced by media lies and thought that I was deceived by Falun Dafa.

The deputy secretary advised me during a banquet to give up cultivation, saying that I was good in everything except that. I told him that I had benefited from Falun Dafa and had become healthier. I said I lived by the Dafa principles Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, that the practice had made me a better person. I reminded him I had been selected as an outstanding or advanced class head teacher every year, that colleagues, students, and their parents praised me. He walked away.

I later chatted with his daughter, who accepted a Shen Yun DVD. I told her that her father was forced to participate in persecuting practitioners. I also told her that some of those in the CCP who had participated in the persecution had died young. I believe that she told her father about our conversations because he seemed to change his attitude and now smiles at me when he sees me.

Learning from Failing a Test

I always look inward to find attachments and remove them once identified. I also try to improve my xinxing and save sentient beings.

The annual evaluation to select one or two outstanding teachers from each group started at the end of last semester. Although I take fame and gain lightly during Fa study, I turn into an ordinary person when it comes to competition.

I thought that I had done an outstanding job every year and should win the competition this year. But I was only recognized as an advanced head teacher. I was disappointed and was troubled by it. I could not fall asleep. I blamed my group leader for not guiding the voting members properly. I also called the principal and vice principal to complain of the unfair voting.

When I was miserable because of the loss, I suddenly remembered a story of one practitioner who voluntarily withdrew himself for consideration even though he was favored to win because his leader had given him a strong recommendation. I felt ashamed. I looked inward and realized that this was an opportunity to let go of attachments.

After I sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the attachments, I felt calm and at peace. But I was still in tears when I saw the group leader and my colleagues the next day. I knew I still had attachments. I repeatedly reminded myself that, as a practitioner, I needed to watch my conduct more carefully.
