(Minghui.org) A recent commentary published in Ukraine Youth Daily, a national newspaper with an emphasis on political analysis, states that the persecution of Falun Gong is the driver for the current power struggle in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
“Jiang Zemin [former head of the CCP who started the persecution] knows clearly: if Jiang loses power, he will be brought to justice [for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners]. Therefore, this former head of the CCP tries to hold onto power by resorting to all means. Over 20 international lawsuits claim Jiang as the defendant for crimes against humanity,” the above analysis was offered in the article titled “How do totalitarian regimes with communism ideology do 'in-house cleaning'?”
It also points out the grassroots movement of over 180 million Chinese people quitting the CCP and quoted former Putin advisor Andrey Nikolayevich Illarionov: “Over 100 million Chinese quitting the Party and its affiliates may be considered as one of the top three events in 2011.”
A long commentary article in Ukraine Youth Daily on December 10, 2014 covered the persecution of Falun Gong and quitting-the-CCP movement in China.
The author called the persecution of Falun Gong the “most brutal suppression in the history of the CCP.”
“The CCP regime could not tolerate the popularity of Falun Gong and the systematic persecution has persisted until today,” the article states.
The author described the extent of the persecution, “They forced Falun Gong practitioners [illegally detained] in forced labor camps to perform heavy labor without pay. They also harvest organs from them for trafficking and transplantation.”
The third section of the article talks about Chinese people's grassroots movement of renouncing their Party organization memberships, “The movement originated from 2004 after the Epoch Times published its editorial series Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Thus, the CCP's history based on tyranny, killing and deceit has been uprooted.”
The Nine Commentaries started a trend of severing Communist ideology in China, according to the commentary. The website where Party membership renunciations are published, tuidang.org, has received 40,000 to 100,000 declarations each day.
Similar messages calling for quitting the Communist Party and individual declarations of quitting the CCP can be seen on places like paper currency and walls in China.
After the publication of this commentary in Ukraine Youth Daily, another newspaper Lviv Pravda, circulated in western Ukraine, reproduced the article in full size on its electronic version the same day.
