(Minghui.org) Visitors to the beautiful white-sand beach at Mission Bay in Auckland had a special encounter with Falun Dafa, an ancient Chinese cultivation practice, on November 1, 2014. They were impressed by the gentle and peaceful Falun Dafa exercises demonstrated by practitioners, and some of them learned the practice right then and there.

Mission Bay is a popular seaside resort in Auckland. The white-sand beach attracts many visitors every weekend. Practitioners put up several photo posters nearby, and many visitors stopped by to read about the health benefits of the practice, and the ongoing persecution in China.

The practitioners demonstrated the five gentle Falun Gong exercises. The Divine Land Marching Band and the Waist Drum Team performed between each set of exercises. The traditional Chinese drumming and the majestic uplifting music attracted many tourists.

The host told the bystanders about each exercise, and how doing them improves one's health. A group of children sat in front of the practitioners and began imitating their movements as they did the hand gestures. The practitioners gave each of them a handmade lotus paper flower.

Engels and Grace asked a practitioner who was distributing the fliers to teach them the exercises. They wanted to learn because they said the movements were elegant and the music very pleasant.

After the practitioner taught them the first set of exercises, they thanked him and said that they would download the videos for the other four exercises, and learn them at home.

A woman in her forties was delighted to know that Falun Dafa is an advanced qigong. She said that she had wanted to learn qigong for a while, and she finally found it. She took informational materials and said she would definitely learn the exercises online and join a practice site near her home.
