Additional Persecution News from China – November 17, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 16 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Yumin in Critical Condition

Mr. Gao Yumin was transferred from a hospital to the Shenyang No. 1 Prison. He had been mistreated so badly that he vomited blood. Mr. Gao is now in critical condition. He was taken to a local hospital.

2. [Shihezi City, Xinjiang Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoying Detained

Ms. Wang Xiaoying was arrested on the afternoon of November 12, 2014. She is being held in the Shihezi City No. 1 Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qian Youyun Arrested

Ms. Qian Youyun from the Jiangxia District was arrested at home on November 6, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Zou Xinqin Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zou Xinqin was taken to a brainwashing center.

5. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yao and Ms. He Arrested

Elderly Ms. Yao was arrested on October 5, 2014 for telling people the facts about Falun Gong in the Zhijiang City Hospital. She was released the same day.

Ms. Yao and Ms. He were arrested on the morning of October 29, 2014 after they put informational materials about Falun Gong on police patrol cars. The police searched Ms. He's home and took a computer, Falun Gong books, and some cash. They were released the afternoon of the day they were arrested.

6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Huang Xiuhuan and Three Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Huang Xiuhuan, Ms. Jiang Xiuqin, Ms. Du Fengyun, and Ms. Yuan Yue'e were arrested on September 14, 2014 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Qixin Village, Gangyao Town, Longtan District. Their homes were searched and they were taken to the Gangyao Town Police Station. Ms. Yuan and Ms. Jiang were released the night of their arrest. Ms. Du and Ms. Huang were taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Xihong Detained

Ms. Xu Xihong, in her 40s, was arrested at work by officers form the Jingshanwa Police Station on November 13, 2014. She is being held in the Weifang Detention Center.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fu Yanfei Detained

Ms. Fu Yanfei from the Erdao District was arrested by officers from the Dongzhan Police Station on November 15, 2014 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was held in the Weizigou Detention Center for five days.

9. [Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Shoumei Arrested

Ms. Shi Shoumei was arrested by officers from the Zhabei Police Station on November 10, 2014 for distributing Falun Gong informational materials in front of a supermarket.

10. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhang Shehui Arrested

Mr. Zhang Shehui, from Nanzhong Village, Zhicheng Town, works at the Tianjiangmen Shop. He was arrested on the morning of November 3, 2014. The police searched his home and took Falun Gong books, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, a computer, and other items. Mr. Zhang was taken to the Jiyuan City Detention Center and then to the Xiaolangdi Brainwashing Center.

11. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Jiaan and Her Sister Arrested

Ms. Zhang Jiaan and her sister were arrested on November 13, 2014.

Mr. Zheng Peng, 53, was arrested.

Mr. Zhou Yuxi was arrested by officers from the Chengnan Police Station on May 28, 2014 for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farm market.
