The Divine Land Marching Band at the opening of the Pyeongtaek Marathon
The Divine Land Marching Band performed the prelude for the opening ceremony. Mr. Joyounggu, a famous MC in South Korea, introduced Falun Gong to the audience.
The band was invited to play several times during the competition. After the marathon, the band performed on center stage for 20 minutes. A local newspaper praised the band's selections, noting that they encouraged the attendees with magnificent music.
The Divine Land Marching Band is no stranger to Koreans. Before the marathon, the same band led a grand parade for the 2014 Colorful Daegu Festival held in Daegu on October 11. Many spectators told the Minghui correspondent that they had seen the band in other community events before and had learned about Falun Gong from the band members.
