Additional Persecution News from China – November 12, 2014 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Yumin in Critical Condition

Practitioner Mr. Gao Yumin, a former criminal police officer in Fuxin City, has been held in custody for nearly one year. He was just sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Mr. Gao is now being held in the Shenyang No. 1 Prison. He went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. He is now in critical condition.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Zonghai Detained

Officers from the Tahe County Domestic Security Division in Heilongjiang Province broke into Mr. Yang Zonghai's home and arrested him. Mr. Yang is being held at the Weizigou Detention Center.

3. [Zibo City, Shangdong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Sun Yulan, Ms. Liu Xuezhi and Ms. Shi Yuqing from the Linzi District were arrested while telling people about Falun Gong in Fenghuang Town on November 1, 2014. The police searched Ms. Liu and Ms. Shi's homes, and extorted 10,000 yuan from each of the three practitioners before releasing them the same day they were arrested.

4. [Xingwen County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Jiansheng Transferred to Prison

Mr. Wang Jiansheng has been persecuted in Xingwen County for one year and four months. He was transferred to the Jiazhou Prison at noon on November 11, 2014.

5. [Pengshan County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Xueying Arrested

Ms. Peng Xueying was arrested by officers from the Pengshan Justice Bureau on November 10, 2014. She was taken to the Meishan Brainwashing Center for 10 days of detention.

Ms. Li Juhua was arrested by officers from the Huangpi District 610 Office on November 10, 2014. She was taken to the Erzhigou No. 1 Detention Center for 10 days of detention.

8. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manye Taken to Shanghai Women's Prison

After a heavily guarded show trial on August 29, Ms. Yang Manye was sentenced to four years in imprison. She was taken to Shanghai Women's Prison in early November.

This was the fifth time Ms. Yang has been arrested. She was detained for a total of seven and a half years because she refused to give up her belief.

Her son was seven years old when she was first arrested in 2001. He is now almost 21. For more than one-third of his life, he was deprived of his mother's care.
